The only way anyone can call this a “10/10” window is if you completely ignore the fact that we’ve spent what will likely be one of the biggest amounts any club has ever spent in a single window. For that level of investment, the team simply hasn’t improved anywhere near enough. I blame the club for not appointing a serious DoF and instead giving RDZ far too much influence over recruitment. For a manager with his CV, I don’t understand why he’s being given this much sway over how £400m+ is being spent. As a fanbase, we’re so used to not spending money that we’ve started confusing spending big with signing well. Five new signings started against Newcastle at the weekend, and apparently what this squad REALLY needed on top of that was Mudryk and Tosin.

Gotta be sunk cost fallacy with Archie Gray and Mathys Tel at this point. Invested so much time in them that club would rather keep hoping they come good than admit neither are good enough and just sell them. Also, idc about giving these signings time, they’re all from the Premier League, fix up.
