Here's how the forty largest Protestant denominations voted in 2020. Assemblies of God were the most Trump supportive. The least Republican were the African Methodist Episcopal church.

Part of what happens to our brains when we reduce the world to false binaries is add stress. We become filled with anger (for things not aligning with a reduced view) and anxiety (for fear that reduced realm to not be true to the complexity of reality). That’s why Jesus (in Matthew 6) gives us an antidote to our anxiety - to “consider the lilies”.
See the complexity of items in this simple photo? Colors, shapes causing our brain neurons to explode in seeing “infinity in the palm of your hand” (Blake). This world is not binary, it’s full of mystery and delight to our senses. Let’s not reduce it to false binaries to demonize each other. #CultureCare @iamculturecare @AcademyKintsugi

Steve Jobs email he sent himself 13 months before he died. Whenever I re-read this, I regret waiting so long to have read it again.

The framers of our Constitution knew that our republic would endure only if our presidents have the character and honor to put duty ahead of self interest. President Biden deserves our gratitude for his decades of service to our nation and for his courageous decision today.

The fundamental division today is not between people of different religions or even between the religious and those who are atheists or agnostics. It's between those who genuinely seek truth and accord it the highest priority and those whose basic allegiance is to other agendas.

I boarded my flight to Shanghai and realized this connection to this museum (through my rep in Taipei) came indirectly through @timkellernyc City to City network. When I landed, Tim had passed. Many of us, even artists, would not be who we are without Tim’s presence in NYC. My prayers continue for Kathy and family. Tim’s New Creation wings given, may he (we) see a City/Garden brimming with seedlings of entire forest already lovingly planted from his “one leaf” well done. – at Ongjin-gun, Republic of Korea

Afraid of being ‘shamed’ by colleagues at work? Psalm 25:4 says, “No one whose hope is in You will ever be put to shame.” I read this and first think, “Well, sure, I hope in you, Jesus, as my savior, but my co-worker can still shame me in so many ways.” – at Bahamas

Why do different Christian co-workers sometimes see things so differently than me? Shouldn’t we be on the same page when it comes to politics, social views, and more? This episode (2) of Nuance with Dr. John Caplin helps us think through this very tension. #podcast #culture
