This year, there's up to 155 LGBTQ+ athletes competing in the Paris Olympics. They’re providing crucial representation for the community. But 82% of LGBTQ+ people who take part in sport have experienced or witnessed homophobia, biphobia, and transphobia.

With increased awareness comes increased acceptance, but there’s still a way to go to shift public attitudes. 33% of LGBTQ+ people who participate in or follow sport aren’t out to anyone in their sporting life.
