ARIZONA MAN SENTENCED AFTER HIS GIRLFRIEND RECEIVED 22 KNIFE WOUNDS. Tyler Riddle, 34, was sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to aggravated assaµlt and two counts of child abµse for an August 2025 attack on his girlfriend, Erin Hume, prosecutors said. Hume told the court Riddle st@bbed her 22 times and showed “absolutely no mercy.” Her two children were home and were injured when they tried to protect her. Her 12-year-old son called 911, telling the dispatcher his mother was bleeding and Riddle was inside the home. Hume credited her children’s bravery and the responding officers with helping her survive.

Juneau, Alaska — A Juneau Police Department officer was patrolling the downtown area when he identified 35-year man Steven Kissack who was a person of interest in a recent assault. During the interview, Kissack approached the officer with a knife in hand. The officer issued repeated verbal commands to drop the knife and initiated a request for emergency backup over the radio.Other law enforcement officers arrived on scene. Commands to drop the knife were continually repeated. Kissack did not comply. Three 40 mm, less lethal rounds were deployed and struck Kissack. On the video, the officers use the term “40”. This is in reference to the blunt impact less lethal rounds. Steven Kissack charged at the officers while brandishing his knife. Two law enforcement officers discharged their firearms and Kissack was struck. Steven Kissack was taken to the local hospital for treatment and was pronounced deceased a short time later.
