I really like Grok Bot.
It isn't massively different from using Claude Code or Codex well.
They're the same loops and Python scripts I'd set up with Claude, but there's some extra spice in how proactive it is.
They work much better because *someone* is actively reviewing the work and iterating on it, not just reading the output from a tool.
Here's Sprout, my growth agent, just now:
"I found 21 more venues today, and Gotti's making their pages. I also sent 18 claim emails for yesterday's batch. Hilltop Barn is the one warm contact (you emailed them from TGG in 2023), so I've left a draft for them in the Field and Venue Gmail for you to send. I also added 3 festivals to Fezzy and passed 3 leads to Newsa. Fields to Fork in early May looks like the best of those."
Field and Venue, a free UK directory of fields, barns and outdoor event spaces, now has 430+ venues and grows every morning.
Same with Fezzy, a festival directory I haven't touched in months. It lists 653 UK festivals, and Sprout's now adding new ones every day ready for the 2027 season.
It has accurate information on 3 separate projects and how they link and complement each other.
Now really is the best time to have shiny thing syndrome.
Getting Grok Bot to sign up for websites and complete your profile is awesome.
Told Gotti, my Grok Bot commander in chief, to get my venue directory on Pinterest and not ask me stuff.
It set up the account, made six boards, designed 30 pins, verified the website and scheduled three a day.
My only job was typing my birthday. @bot
I run a glamping hire business and hate admin.
So today I let Gotti, my Grok Bot chief of staff, do it while I drove.
It:
- listed our tents on Poptop, an events marketplace I hate using
- built a client a custom quote page
- built a bespoke bell tent hire page for a wedding venue we work with
- added 17 venues to the outdoor venue directory I started two days ago (link in comments)
- sorted 107 old email drafts
All via voice note while I drove
"People aren't ready, this is gonna change everything"
You know what people weren't ready for? Fucking mammoths. Tigers eating them. Monkeys ripping their arms off. The black plague. The ice age. Smallpox. Vikings pulling up on the beach. Drinking water that gives you diarrhea until you die. Getting a scratch and losing your whole leg. The Mongols. The Spanish Inquisition.
One volcano can send us back to the dark ages and these safety guys are gonna be shocked. Oh the robots didn't kill us? It was a volcano? Imagine their disappointment as the hot ash rains down on them.
A solar flare is gonna explode your phone in your pocket your legs are gonna be covered in battery acid and your bank account will stop working. You're afraid of a computer program doing math?
"Things are moving too fast" homie you live on a rock that periodically deletes everything. You are one the most luckiest entities in a 100 light year radius living during a golden era. Cheer up.
My ancestors crossed an ocean in a wooden box because they ran out of fucking potatoes.
"The social disruption will be enormous!"
Nigga World War 2? World War 2? Hop in the people carrier we're landing on the beach.
Are these people out of their fucking minds? Do they not know what we've survived already?
A couple decades of air conditioning and people suddenly think oh this is the natural condition of mankind. No. We used to have eight kids because seven didn't make it. You're gonna be fine. Man the fuck up.
Accelerate.
