Over on the new ASOS tech blog I've written about how we use Swift generics and descriptors to load and display product images, icons and placeholders on iOS medium.com/asos-techblog/usi… #swiftlang #iosdev
There’s nothing like waking up with a simple solution to the problem you’d been struggling with all night!

Finally got my Docker + Wordpress + @_understrap setup working after a bind-mount permissions hell! Now I've got a super clean plugin and theme development environment. Learnt tons 🙌🏻
Just found some drag and drop functionality on the iPhone Podcasts app — not that you can do anything with it! 😄
I think you need better QA’s @vampbrands — At least 3 and no more than 1? At least 3 and no more than 3? 🤦🏻♂️

TIL that you can pre populate your app for testing by just downloading your apps data and setting that to be used by your tests in the scheme editor.
It took me an entire day …
My shell game is poor. This list is awesome… time to play! github.com/alebcay/awesome-s…
Me 5 mins ago: These unit tests are slowing me down! A simple view model change and now I've got tons of tests to update.
Me now: Dudeeee those unit tests saved my ass!!

Pro Tip:
Having trouble navigating huge Swift file trying to comprehend its public interface?
While viewing the file in Xcode, hit 👉 Control + Command + Arrow Down
Xcode will generate an interface of the file without any implementation inside.
Battling with UICollectionView layouts, self-sizing cells, batch animations… and losing hard! Perhaps it's futile: stackoverflow.com/a/52428617…

If you were wondering where I've been for the last couple days, this is why.
We've released a definitive update on the @pipdig story. Proof that they've issued false denials, attempted to conceal evidence, and have targeted their competitors directly.

The Pipdig story is climbing the first page of Hacker News 😲 @newsycombinator news.ycombinator.com/news

Another one from the @pipdig plugin. If you use one of their themes on @bluehost then they intentionally slow your website down by disabling the BlueHost cache plugin, then they can inject content with the title "Is your host slowing you down?" CC @jemjabella @heyitsmikeyv
Managed to demonstrate Pipdig's "kill switch" on a test install of Wordpress with pipdig Power Pack (p3) v4.7.2. It worked, which confirms they have the power to remotely delete your entire blog & every post you've ever written simply by typing your blog URL into a text file.
It also confirms they lied. They _still_ have the ability to wipe any blog that hasn't updated to the new plugin version (4.8.0), which they hurriedly released to delete the kill switch after they were exposed the other day.
