Drivers must always follow the speed limit and watch for pedestrians—even 10 miles makes a big difference in the survival rate of a person if they are hit. When approaching a crosswalk, yield to pedestrians and give plenty of room so that other vehicles may see them too.

The Downtown Safety and Streetscape Renovation project in Troy is one of many projects in the Region focused on pedestrian safety. The project will include many safety improvements like curb bump-outs to reduce the crossing distance and larger curbs. troyohio.gov/departments/eng…
