I wish you could see what I'm seeing right now. The entire sky is on fire. Isabella, Minnesota. – at Minnesota, USA
I see Victor Wooten every single time he comes to play. I suggest you do same.
In 2014, at Dakota Jazz Club in Minneapolis. A few mins after show starts, PRINCE walks (floats) by me, sits at his private table (table #299, btw) to enjoy show. Genius recognizes genius.
Vermillion Falls easily in the top 3 parks within 30min of the Twin Cities. Maybe the best. The karst geology with the waterfall, caves, river gorge and old mill ruins makes for very fun exploring. The fall colors can be great here except I'm a week or 2 late. Still beautiful. – at Hastings, MN
Weirdest part abt You Can See Everything is the audience reaction
You learn a lot abt ppl sitting next to you
So much laughing when nothing funny happening, others are vocally hostile to AS. (She does nothing at all to warrant that reaction)
It is a strange theater experience – at St Paul, MN
Been saying it for years. Every human on earth has seen same night sky for our entire existence...up until now.
📸 Brendan Larsen, demonstrates here what 2 hours (only 2 hrs!) under current night sky looks like w all the satellites polluting our view. It'll get worse every week
I saw the Elizabeth Holmes "You Can See Everything" doc last night. Brilliant imo. Not what I expected. Worried abt it being 3 hours but I was locked in. Now I'm invested and have more questions than before. Ppl are weird, dude. If you're interested, dont read abt it. Just go.
Fun reminder that all the conservative Metallica fans lost their fckin moron minds when the new Minnesota flag was displayed at both Minneapolis concerts.
"Metallica sucks" was the theme on MN MAGA Twitter that weekend. – at St Paul, MN
Replying to @mvinge
Metallica displays our awesome new Minnesota state flag before going into one of their heaviest songs. "Blackened" #M72Minneapolis
This train bridge was one of the pics I wanted to get last night with the (much stronger) aurora blasting in the background...😭
I will get it someday!
Look close on top of the track in the first pic. You can see the ghost of a BNSF train flying by during the long exposure. – at St Paul, MN
Gotta keep it real. It is worst case scenario. It was blasting away all day. Europe & New Zealand got it during our daylight. Strongest of year...then flips switch off during first mins of dark in USA😢 Absolutely brutal! The ol' auroral bait & switch. She can be cruel as hell😭
Things are not as exciting as they were hours ago but I am definitely still going out!
I don't think I will post constant updates. You're on your own
Follow my aurora expert list below for real time analysis tonight. Here's video of me rambling abt it if you want more help

My thoughts as we near nightfall on the U.S. East Coast: mid-latitude auroral displays potentially down to the central U.S. at times are definitely possible as solar wind magnetic field strength (Bt) and speed are still elevated.
The Bz is more positive than not (at least that is the trend right now), but substorms are still possible which will push views further south for short periods of time.
Watch data in real-time to track the aurora. Do NOT use Kp, OVATION, and likely whatever app you have downloaded on your phone (with the exception of a few). Learn more about what to do tonight: go.theauroraguy.com/chasing-…
Webcams will be your friend to get ground-truth confirmation of proxy data from e.g., GOES Mag, real-time solar wind, other magnetometer source, etc. I have a large list on my website: go.theauroraguy.com/webcams
I am guessing that we are in more of a high-speed stream solar wind environment right now, and the HSS was forecasted to have a negative polarity which would give us more +Bz than not. It is also possible (a guess) that this high-speed wind pushed the CME and compressed it which is why it hit with a punch and then diminished quickly.
