It’s #IndigenousPeoplesDay & while our 2021 Conference was virtual, we want to recognize the Wampanoag tribe, which inhabited the Island for thousands of years before Europeans & which continues to celebrate their rich heritage on the Aquinnah tribal lands of Martha’s Vineyard.
Mashpee Wampanoag;
Canarsie and Munsee Lenape;
Haudenosaunee Iroquois Territory;
Tongva land in Los Angeles & the Northern Cheyenne reservation; and Odawa & Southern Paiute land.
In acknowledgement of the original caretakers of this land.
