This apartment for sale in Milwaukee is a great example of what we don't really build anymore. Currently a 3 bed 2 bath, it obviously used to be a 4 bed 3 bath. Two living rooms, a dining room. 2.5K square feet. We gotta start building big apartments again. Asking $375K

Where are all the Seattle “environmentalists”?

This photo of three small Irish children, sleeping in the back of a car, has gone viral.
One of them had to get up and go to school the next day. Their Irish parents had literally nowhere else to go.
Meanwhile, thousands (and I mean thousands) of blacks, Muslims, Asian migrants flood our shores every month and get accommodated immediately.
It’s utterly despicable and infuriating.
Please share this image to show what’s really happening in Ireland 🇮🇪

In Seattle, the influence of harm reduction as a policy approach extends well beyond combatting addiction.
It's the driving force behind "Housing First" -- which explicitly prohibits requirements for abstinence and treatment services -- upon which our homelessness response and affordable housing funding criteria are based.
In fact, applications for affordable housing funding must be "Housing First-aligned" for consideration.
And we wonder what there's almost zero city-funded sober housing in Seattle. And why addicts interested in rehab don't seek it knowing the scarcity of drug-free places to live afterward.
And, ultimately, why chronic homelessness and overdoses keep going up despite all the money we spend on housing and diversion.
OK, so maybe *you* don't, but hopefully @powellAtlantic's deep-dive on harm reduction will help policymakers figure it out (god knows I tried, lotta good that did!).
A well-intentioned approach to combatting drug addiction in some progressive cities has gone off the rails, @powellAtlantic argues. He visited Seattle and Burlington, Vermont, to see what “harm reduction” has wrought: theatlantic.com/magazine/202…

HOLY CRAP 🚨: Former President Barack Obama to Caitlin Clark: “Oh hey, Caitlin. How are you? Really nice to meet you. You're great. You're fantastic. Don’t let all this nonsense get you down.”
“Don’t lose that joy. The game is like the game.”
Allowing a biological male to play basketball alongside biological females would not just in unfair competitively, but there would significant, career-ending injuries.
@sophaller is 100% right
If you want to create a new version of basketball that’s less physical, or maybe create weight classes like in boxing, sure, go ahead and do that!

"Not a single first responder here...it almost seems staged."
We pay so much in taxes, yet we're totally understaffed & unprepared to manage wildfires. I can't blame anyone for being conspiratorial, but the truth is, CA/WA leaders are just incompetent.

How low is our sense of self-worth as Americans that we tolerate this bullshit? We let crackheads kill their babies in public in LA, and you have this commie crap in WI. This isn't protest, it's just degenerate criminality, and everyone involved here should be in FPMITA prison.

Wait… the Seattle police chief lives in Chicago and isn’t in Seattle for a month?! That’s a big gig with big pay.

We need to end the war now.
Get our troops out of the region, restrain Israel, and focus on economic negotiations to open the SOH—and now the Bab Al Mandeb—or we will face a major energy crisis.
Keep in mind that we could not militarily defeat the Houthis in 2025. We know we can’t militarily defeat Iran now.
We will certainly not be able to defeat both of them simultaneously.
The reality is that we will end up cutting deals at some point. We always do—remember how we exited Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria.
At this point, we know how this plays out. Let’s skip the decades of carnage & cut the deals now.
Tune out the neocons & the Israeli lobby’s tired talking points about WMD—that was bait to get us into this mess. It worked, and look where we’re at: disastrous quagmire, no military solution, our troops in harm’s way all across the region.
Iran currently controls two key energy chokepoints—SOH & BAM. We are better off accepting this and adapting strategically than we are fighting it and losing more. Pulling our troops out tips the scales of leverage in our favor.
Withdraw and reengage diplomatically to resolve the issue in the region that directly impacts Americans: restoring the flow of oil.
President Trump can still declare victory and restore trust with the American people if he has the courage to leave now, before a mass casualty event happens or an economic crisis hits.
That’s why now is the best time to leave & quietly negotiate.

🚨 CNN’s Van Jones BLASTS socialist Democrats: “I am tired, tired, tired of a set of people on the very far left in the Democratic party… ideas that are literally insane. Nutty. Moronic. Dangerous. Bigoted. They are not progressive, they are regressive and they should not be in our party.”

THIS MADNESS HAS TO STOP. Thank you @peta for coming with us to Skid Row and spotlighting this insanity.
Dogs on Skid Row are being bred in violation of spay & neuter laws, traded for drugs, physically abused, and denied the care they need and deserve.
We teamed up with @SWOTNonprofit, @JesseKove, @NathantheCL, @TheRealChokachi, & @joey_tuccio to show what they're living through is unacceptable.
Please urge the @MayorOfLA to enforce the law and help these dogs immediately!

Sydney may not realize it yet… but this moment right here is bigger than she thinks.
Standing next to someone she just helped, there’s no spotlight, no crowd, no big announcement, just a quiet moment that says, “I showed up for someone today.” And sometimes, those are the moments that matter the most. The ones that don’t make noise, but make a real difference.
Years from now, she may not remember every lawn she mowed… but she’ll remember how it felt to be needed, to help, and to know she made someone’s day just a little easier. And that right there… that’s something that stays with you for life.

Simple, we need a moratorium on trawling for Krill just as there is a moratorium on Whaling. Why can't this be done?

🚨Walking my dog today during this SF heat wave, I ran into a man I see often who’s clearly struggling. His dog—desperate and overheated—started drinking my dog’s pee because he was so thirsty. I ran inside for water and he chugged three bottles.
That should never happen.
Where are the outreach teams right now? Where are the basic services during extreme heat? We hand out supplies for harm reduction, pipes, foil and straws—but where is the water when it’s this hot?
This isn’t just about people. Animals are suffering too.
