I actually had this thought long ago but I think it becomes more and more true to be the only way by the day.
Unfortunately memecoins make way more sense in a centralized controlled environment. Only difference is that it doesn't necessarily need to be centralized but I guess more localized.
What I mean by this is an environment that is closed off from outside tooling, everyone stands on even footing and deployments are handled by a third party with nothing to gain or lose(your loss is not their gain).
It used to be about decentralization but nobody gives two sh*ts about that anymore lol.. Not to mention this could still be accomplished in a mostly decentralized environment. The trade offs are just too undeniable at this point....
On one side everything is a scam and everything is against you vs the other side everything is handled in a controlled environment closed off but everyone has a chance.

FUN FACT: Today’s Binance hack is the largest robbery in human history. Current damage up to $6.1B. God help us all.
24 hours into the @Pumpfun $2.5M Squads Competition and the @solana trenches are pure cinema:
- #1 squad already wiped to #492 for bundling their own coin
- half the leaderboard sitting on hands scared to ruin PnL
- solo wallets trying not to be exit liq for 20-man squads

I'm glad to share that I'm joining @factmachine as Founding Engineer.
Happy to be back building full time on @solana, where I started back in the early NFT / candy machine days.
Why FM? Prediction markets today have a problem: often a judge decides who wins, off chain, sometimes days after the thing already happened. It's slow, it is boring, and a lot of the time people walk away feeling cheated. The topics are often quite boring too, we live in the digital age.
A good example from earlier this year, on a popular platform: "Khamenei out as Supreme Leader?"
He died. YES holders still got paid the last traded price instead of $1, because of a rule buried somewhere in the terms.
At FM there's no fine print and nobody to argue with over the results. The crowd is the oracle: you bet on what the crowd will vote, the crowd votes, the blockchain settles, and that's it.
For me, FM addresses those points: nobody feeling like the system screwed them at the last minute, and actual relevant trending topics of the digital age that people are way more likely to have an opinion on.
If you want prediction markets that are fun to play and fair, join our community and make friends at @factmachine
So, what does @factmachine have in store for us today?
Any ideas, guys?
maybe main.... ?
