I didn’t choose to lose my sight. But I did choose what to do with the life that came after. Today is #WorldSightDay, and this year’s theme is “Love Your Eyes.”
I was born with full sight. Glaucoma slowly changed that, and learning to navigate a world I could no longer fully see came with its own challenges.
But it also taught me that sometimes, the real disability is the world around us, when our spaces, systems and services are not designed to include everyone.
The Persons with Disabilities Act, 2025 recognises the right to accessibility, reasonable accommodation and assistive support.
So, please take care of your eyes. Get them checked. And while you’re at it, let’s also learn to see inclusion differently. #VIP

Talking of PPD, that thing is bad. I resented my son for almost a month. I'd see him cry and feel nothing. One night he cried so much that my shosh thought I'd died in my sleep yet I was there watching at him sitted at the corner of the bed unbothered. The whole time I was

I hosted an event that raised a modest $3.5 BILLION in 90 minutes at the UN General Assembly in New York! 🤯
It will fund education in 90 lower-income countries so that no child is left behind. My mom was a teacher in rural Kenya so this historic “harambee” is personal to me

People can appear high-functioning, holding jobs, raising families, achieving accolades, while silently battling suicidal ideation. This duality confuses loved ones and professionals alike.

Infrastructure isn't just concrete and steel. It's a child in Lokori, Turkana, holding a tablet for the first time.
As Engineers , this is the impact that matters: building what connects learners to the world.
Glad I took part in this project .
Before meets the after .
Today marked a new chapter in digital learning in Turkana, as @SaveChildren_KE , supported by @nokia , unveiled a newly renovated and fully equipped ICT Hub at Lokori Mixed Primary and Junior Secondary School.
This milestone is part of a wider digital learning initiative in #Turkana, #Baringo, and #Kajiado, designed to expand inclusive digital education and strengthen teacher ICT capacity in alignment with the @EduMinKenya ’s CBE framework and Digital Literacy Programme.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the @EduMinKenya, the School Board of Management, and CDE Dr. Henry Lubanga for their unwavering leadership and support in advancing digital transformation in our schools.
