NEW: New Yorkers have started a trend of tagging Mayor Zohran Mamdani to report problems around the city and the fixes are happening so quickly that the videos are going viral.
A dangerous playground hazard was repaired after a resident wrote a letter. A pothole was filled the same day it was posted online. And ahead of this week’s heat wave, the city installed temporary water fountains in Prospect Park.
The message from City Hall: no problem is too small to fix.

James Cameron def has a better origin story than Christopher Nolan.
In his mid-20s, Cameron was working as a truck driver. On weekends, he drove to University of Southern California and photocopied binders full of technical filmmaking papers.
“I gave myself a full [film] education for like a $120 in [Xerox].”
In 1978, he raised $20k from a network of dental surgeons (dentists love alternative investments) for a 12-minute sci-fi short film called Xenogenesis.
Film didn’t do much but was able to parlay that into a job with horror legend Roger Corman, which led to him directing a Jaws knock-off in 1982 (Piranha II) before breaking out with The Terminator in 1984.
Legit went from truck driver to King of Hollywood.
