Are paper rejections really that bad? My papers get read by ~3 people on average. Each rejection means a resubmission, which means 3 more readers. After 4 rejections, that's double-digit readership.

I received an email today titled "OSDI '26 Preliminary Call for Papers". Looks like OSDI is adding an Operational Systems track and aiming for a higher acceptance rate (usenix.org/conference/osdi26…). I hope this will also help expand the scope and include more papers.

Every person existing has a full set of grandparents who survived childhood
No one exists who has a grandparent who didn’t survive childhood!
