A lot of shit we are dealing with in the modern computer systems is an adversarial complexity that serves no purpose except making things harder for the benefit of the system's owners. The main problem is that lot of people believe this complexity is necessary.

Palmer Luckey says companies are exaggerating the cost of American manufacturing to justify staying in China: “They don’t want to admit that it is a choice.” 🇺🇸🇨🇳
“I don’t have a lot of sympathy for people who pretend that manufacturing in the U.S. is this impossible, order-of-magnitude problem. A lot of it is very self-serving.
They want to justify why they’re in China. They want to justify why it’s OK for them to stay in China. They know that when sanctions hit as a result of a potential Taiwan conflict, they want to say, ‘Nobody could’ve predicted this, and I had no choice anyway.’
They don’t want to admit that it is a choice.
If Chinese subsidized steel is a third of the price of American unsubsidized steel, a tariff isn’t going to work. But if the price difference really is 30%, then a tariff could bring the American steel industry back.
It’s critically important to get this question right, and there aren’t enough people talking about it.”

ANTHROPIC SECURES BB+ CREDIT RATING AS WALL STREET PREPARES $60 BILLION AI FINANCING
Anthropic received a BB+ credit rating from KBRA, just one notch below investment grade, ahead of a $35 billion chip financing deal.
Now, Wall Street banks are reportedly assembling another $60 billion financing package for AI chips developed by Google ($GOOGL) and Broadcom ($AVGO).
The company could also issue up to $42 billion in convertible notes to finance chip leases.
The key concern: Anthropic's massive AI expansion increasingly depends on access to affordable debt financing.

逆に責任を持とうとすると、AIか書いた内容をちゃんとチェックする必要があって、
今問題になってるのは、責任コストを他人に押し付けるAIユーザーなんだと思う。

“Never read the code” cult is racking up Ls left and right.
Almost as if completely abandoning all best practices, based on blind, faith based belief in divine infallibility of inherently fallible software is stupid, moronic and criminally irresponsible.
Yeah about that.

Always remember Charlie Munger, and I paraphrase poorly:
EBITDA, and all forms of "Adjusted" earnings, should be read as "bullshit earnings".
JUST IN: Anthropic told its investors that its third-quarter revenue had jumped to $16.8 Billion and that the company was profitable on an “adjusted basis” in the quarter - FT
