I came home to a letter from the governor. A few weeks ago, I wrote to her about the importance of readers seeing themselves depicted in literature that includes authentic disability rep. Thank you, Gov. @MikieSherrill, for proclaiming April 19–25 as Disability Book Week in NJ!

I just watched a guy in a suit store try on an entire suit—jacket, pants, dress shirt, tie, shoes, socks, and even handkerchief—and then pay for the suit while wearing it. He then said, “I’ve got 20 minutes to get to the wedding.” He looked great, too!🤵‍♂️

I just found out NOT LUCILLE is one of three finalists in the Best Middle Grade Book category for the 2026 Imadjinn Awards, hosted by @ImaginariumCon! I’m honored and excited! #ImadjinnAwards #ImaginariumConvention
