Halfway through my endo list yesterday the DSU nurse came in.
“The last patient's arrived with his mother. He’s autistic and says he gets seizures when he is overstimulated.” She handed me his file. “There’s a letter from the neurologist”.

THIS IS NOT GOOD, folks.

The teacher's the advisor to the school's GSA.

Looking at pictures like this, my mind always wonders:
How many of them have been killed?
How many have lost their families?
How many have lost their homes?
How many have lost their limbs for their whole lives?
How many smiles have we stolen from them?
My heart breaks.

It’s wild to me the way people are equating Palestine and Hamas.
That’s like saying everyone in the United States is a Proud Boy.
it’s absurd but it’s the logic that seems to prevail when dehumanizing brown people.

Good afternoon (or morning, or evening). I went dark yesterday, really dark. But I managed to sleep and I have some clarity about the Al Ahli hospital massacre that I want to share with you. I'll only tweet this rambling thread today and then log off. Please read and share.

For now this anger is about Palestine. But the reason why Arab governments are so scared right now is because pent up anger, when it comes out, just brings forth all other grievances. Many protesters are already criticizing their own governments. This can still massively escalate

This statement suggests @Scholastic only has 2 options, but here’s a 3rd. They could choose to LEAD, & be on the right side of history, by refusing to enable these discriminatory legislations. BRAVERY is hard. True ALLYSHIP requires action. I’m afraid this compromise is neither.
Just underscoring how WGA negotiators told the studios the union wouldn’t go back to work until SAG also has a deal, because if the last five months proved anything it’s in together, win together

Settle in for more absurdity coming out of @kellerisd: Outrageous complaints received about books on our library preview purchase list. These titles have all been scratched from purchase for further review using our district bookbanning rubric. Here are the laughable complaints/1

You know what’s even more effective than signing yet another online petition against book bans and censorship? Showing up — en masse— to school and library board meetings and speaking out loudly against evildoers and fascists who are anti-knowledge, anti-progress, and anti-human.

I saw this sign at the Midway @Target the other day 🙌🏾 It’s really not that hard to be inclusive and adaptable to others’ practices. This is the first I’ve ever seen but I really hope it sets a precedent.

Kinda crazy how on the eve of the two-year anniversary of a bunch of insurrectionists upending the government inside the Capitol that we’re watching a bunch of insurrectionists upending the government inside the Capitol. Only difference is nicer clothes and less broken windows.

This is going under the radar, but looks like the CDC guidelines for masking are switching back to COVID-19 Community *TRANSMISSION* levels instead of "Community levels."
That means the CDC now recommends universal masking for **71%** of counties in the US, instead of only 9%.

What is it going to take to get presenters to always use a microphone? Those who struggle with hearing, anxiety, or ADHD have trouble focusing on/hearing you when you’re speaking. A microphone is a huge help for those with disabilities, disorders, and neurodivergencies.
