Elon Musk is targeting a single training cluster with 440,000 NVIDIA Vera Rubin computers online by the end of Q2 2027, up to 20GW in 2027! (Anthropic will love that) On SpaceX’s Q3 earnings call, he said the planned cluster could help make Grok "potentially the best model." His broader expansion target: roughly 13 GW of AI compute online by the end of 2027, including around 10 GW added that year! SpaceX is also aiming to add 20 GW of power and cooling infrastructure in 2027. Musk described that infrastructure as a constraint on the buildout.
