Wild ride comes to a fitting finale!
Six years ago, @ylchaithanya , @msethu and I started @zluri_hq to give IT teams control over every app and identity.
Today, Zluri joins Infotech. Data plus advisory is how IT wins in the AI era, and we're just getting started.

No one wants to do low-end jobs, and for high-end jobs, AI has come. This is India. Last place I’d have expected automation to be on the lower end of the spectrum. Interesting times ahead.
Shriram Properties turns to robots as labour shortage bites
As I have been saying repeatedly, robots are not the future; they are the present
The interesting part is the economics: Chennai-based Vividobots claims its plastering robots could reduce labour requirements by 60–70%, with costs potentially at 30–50% of conventional methods, depending on the project.
This could become a classic scale advantage. Robots have high upfront costs, but a large developer can move the same equipment across multiple projects and sweat the asset over years.
We usually think automation comes when labour becomes expensive. India may show another path: automation because skilled labour becomes scarce, while speed, consistency, and timely delivery become more valuable.

Yesterday we lost Khadim, co-founder and CEO of Whatfix. Words cannot do justice to what I am feeling. The reality of what has happened will take time to sink in. He was by far my closest relationship in the VC ecosystem.
This is shocking and heartbreaking to hear. He was an inspiration to me when I was starting up. He was a man with so much clarity and humility. Never shyed away from sharing everything openly. Truly a loss for the Indian start-up ecosystem.
I’m deeply shocked and saddened by the passing of Khadim Batti, Co-founder of Whatfix, earlier today.
I'm truly struggling to find the right words while processing this news.
Khadim has been such an important part of our AIBoomi community and of the larger SaaS and AI ecosystem in India. Someone many of us have known over the years, shared rooms and conversations with, learnt from, and deeply respected.
His journey with Whatfix inspired so many founders in this community. But beyond everything he built, I will remember Khadim for the person he was.
A wonderful friend. A generous mentor. Someone who always made time for the ecosystem and showed up for founders with warmth and sincerity.
We have lost someone very special today.
My heart goes out to his family, the entire Whatfix team, and everyone who was close to him.
Rest in peace, Khadim. You will be deeply missed.
I’m humbled, honoured and deeply grateful to announce…
…that my first ‘Reading The Room’ column for @EconomicTimes is about people who say they’re humbled, honoured and deeply grateful to announce things on LinkedIn.

This is true in the US, too, for immigrant founders. Takes at least 3-4 years to get things moving like how it's ‘normal’ for others.
Founder's life is hard!
My home loan application got rejected by a top private bank - just because I am a founder.
> 25 years+ of customer
> ~800 CIBIL Score
> 5x-6x of loan value in relationship with this bank
> may be in top 0.1% of its customers by assets
> and irony is this bank felicitated me as top fintech innovator or something like that.. 😛
They can give loan to team members our company employs, but not me - because as founder I'm high risk category.
Damn... lagta hai office mein hi rehna padega zindagi bhar... 🫤😭
Good luck @tanmaigo @rajoshighosh! Already trying it with my family.
We raised $136M to kill Slack.
Introducing PromptQL: The first AI version of Slack.
Here’s how it works:
I'd have thought that this was a wild idea until my trip to Santiago, Chile. All Santander bank branches in Santiago now use the cafe + banking model. Crowds are back in the ‘bank’ for a cup of ‘coffee’ and a meeting.
This might be the wildest job posting of 2026.
A unicorn YC-backed AI insurance company @UseCorgi is hiring a Head of Cafe Expansion.
Up to $220,000 base salary and $1M in equity. The mandate: open 3+ cafes globally.
That's insane. But I love it.
Brex is the first US credit card I used when I landed in the US. It is one of the best products I still use today.
‘Traditional’ bank embracing ‘new age’ fintech for $5B is ‘positively’ newsworthy.
Beautifully articulated by @anupamsidhant. I moved to the U.S. two years ago, and I've seen this firsthand in California. I've been finding ways to put those in words, and couldn't have said it better than Anupam.
I recently went to the US for the first time, and came back with an uncomfortable thought :
Most of us are taught to build quietly.
Americans are taught to build loudly.
For the first few days, I did what every first-time visitor does. I stared at the roads, the buildings, the waymos and the sunsets. The spectacle works. It’s designed to. That’s the opening act.
But once the novelty wore off, something else became impossible to ignore. Beneath the infrastructure and branding was something deeper at play.
America is exceptionally good at telling its own story.
Not subtly. Not apologetically. Confidently. Almost aggressively.

When you can survive but can't get anywhere, something breaks. You're not desperate enough to accept any deal, but you're blocked from the deals that actually matter. The cognitive bandwidth that would have gone to survival instead goes to... frustration. Searching.

I am super proud to see my brother-in-law, Dr. Periyakaruppan’s work. Today, he is the lead doctor in almost all complicated neuro surgeries in Tamil Nadu.
Met a young patient during my visit to the Government Omandurar multi speciality hospital at Chennai who is recovering well after being operated on brain Aneurysum, a complicated neurovascular condition when a blood vessel in the brain balloons and ruptures causing serious complications including sudden death. Her condition mandated highly skilled intensive procedure including coiling and embolization. Dr Periakaruppan, our expert Neuro intervention radiologist operated on her successfully. These procedures are being carried out free of cost under CM insurance scheme on a regular basis in Govt hospitals in TN like Omandurar which otherwise easily cost about 5-9 lakhs outside the Govt set up. Kudos to Dr Periakaruppan, Dean and the entire team who time and again demonstrate the usefulness of a well functioning public health system #TNHealth
Inefficiencies create jobs. If laws were more straightforward, the legal system would shed millions of jobs!
