Intentional Talk was an absolute staple of my MLB experience in middle and high school. The Chris Rose / Kevin Millar duo was absolutely unmatched. It was perfect, and wasn’t the same after Rose was gone. The show ending altogether is sad, Millar was made to host that show.
After 16 seasons, the final episode of Intentional Talk will air November 4th, 2026.
@SieraSantos, @Dempster46 & @KMillar15 reflect on the show's run and their last four years together.
Oh?
Teams are interested and will try to trade for Ronald Acuna Jr. this offseason. It is a major long shot that the Braves will trade him though

Banana Bowl MVP, Playoff MVP- is there another MVP award in Kyle Martin's future?
John Smoltz says he turned down $25 million more to stay with the Braves because he wanted to play for Bobby Cox
“I stayed because my manager is the greatest manager in the world.”
“I turned down about $25 million more to go somewhere else.”
“He was the GM that brought me over in the trade, and then he became my manager my whole career.”
“I made no bones about it. I gave up a lot of money. I don’t begrudge any of it.”
“He was the guy I wanted to play for because he was the best and he had my back.”
“I wanted to run through a wall for him.”
“He let me roll and do the things he knew would make me the best version of myself.”
“I don’t regret any decision I ever made, even though they were tough at the time.”

Chipper has repeated this countless times with regard to the Atlanta Braves. Team management should listen to this. Small ball (and what I refer to as "smart ball"), is the answer to slumping bats. St. Louis Cardinals teams were known for this when they were winning championships. Runs can be generated without home runs. The Dodgers suffer from this same problem.

My takeaways from last night:
1. Yamamoto pitched very well, sometimes you just can’t beat great pitching.
2. Braves didn’t take advantage of innings 8-9, and most importantly inning 5.
3. Braves pitching held LA to 3 runs, they did their job.
Let’s win tonight #ForTheA

OMG
Alright Braves fans, listen up. Tomorrow’s game 1, let me break it down for you.
You got 9 innings.
You got 3 outs an inning.
That’s 27 outs.
But the Braves only need 1 more run than the Dodgers, so you take 27, subtract 1, add the 9 innings, carry the 2 and the Dodgers’ chances of winning just dropped to 33⅓%.
Then you add the Braves home run power to the mix, and their chances go up another 25%.
But the Dodgers KNOW they gotta come through Atlanta to get where they’re going, so you take their 33⅓%, cut it in half, and now they got a 16⅔% chance of surviving.
Braves got 83⅓%.
Dodgers got 16⅔%.
And if you don’t understand the math, don’t worry about it.
THE NUMBERS DON’T LIE, AND THEY SPELL DISASTER FOR L.A.
CHOP ON!
