Matías Orozco is another one to watch.
Such an exciting crop of young Colombian talent coming through from those excellent u17 and u20 sides…

🇨🇴 Brighton Loan Watch | Matías Orozco: Wonderkid makes breakthrough ➡️ Coach predicts Bellingham-level future
⭐️ Long read which should get #BHAFC fans excited
💬 "I told him, ‘You’re the Colombian Bellingham.’ You go up and down, you score goals, you’re technical."
💬 "He loves that, and he’s going to be as great as him. He’s going to be one of the best players in Colombian football history. He’s going straight to the top."

José Escorcia - remember that name.
Surely the next big export from Medellín to Europe (perhaps after Rengifo) and a future star for Colombia.
❤️⚽️🇨🇴
Escorcia with an assist on his debut off the bench for Atlético Nacional?
The kid is lightning in a bottle.
Looked so, so good in a brilliant Colombia u17 side - top scorer & MVP (4g, 2a) as they won the CONMEBOL Sub-17 tournament (goal + assist in 4-0 final vs Argentina).
🔥
What a goal to complete his hat-trick!
Lucho has been unlucky recently but this time he has 3 goals and an assist, and all of them top quality too.

Diego at Barça is a fascinating 2yrs in his tempestuous life. I hugely enjoyed researching it (including a trip to the Barcelona club archives to see incredible hand-written & first-hand scouting reports, official documents + notes) and writing on it, in Killing Maradona.
David Arrowsmith retweeted
A true tragedy of Diego playing in South America early on in his career (at which point he did many more solo-runs than later on) is how much of his brilliance has been lost due to lack of access (or existence) of recordings.
Here’s just one that was recovered:
This is worth a watch - only short but fascinating and emotional.
Deossa fully deserves to get a real chance from Nestor Lorenzo - not just to get into the Colombia squad but potentially the starting XI. I hope that happens soon.
❤️⚽️🇨🇴
It’s certainly one way to describe them 🤣
(Thanks Dan! 😉)

Who needs new #FridayReads ? 📚
Here’s a couple of options for you - and don’t just take my word for it, check those review quotes! 👌🏻🔥
Need a read for your Friday commute home and/or the weekend?
Killing Maradona (ebook) is only 99p right now.
So that’s a possible solution for you.
You’re welcome.
Duráns at the double!
2 goals for Jhon, 1 for Camilo, as the two Colombian strikers faced off in the Europa League tonight.
Jhon Jader & Benfica win the game 4-1.
Can JJ get his career back on track & earn a spot back in the Colombia squad, which Camilo is currently a part of?
It’s my birthday today.
I’ve already read my books, but maybe you haven’t?
So at least one of us can enjoy Killing Maradona or Narcoball for the first time today…
(Did this make sense? I’m not sure this made sense. Sounded good at first, might delete later).
This kid is a talent. Came off the bench for his debut for Colombia vs Peru in the recent friendly, got an assist & looked excellent after a slightly shaky first 5 mins. Colombian players are massively underrated and undervalued but teams like Brighton are starting to clock on.
Brighton and Newcastle United are among a growing group of Premier League clubs keeping close tabs on highly-rated Colombian midfielder Juan Manuel Rengifo, @TEAMtalk can reveal.
