Social Media Is Making Us Feel like We're Behind In Life. Sometimes I think socia media is putting too much pressure on people without us even realising it. You open X, Instagram or TikTok, and someo is buying a house. Another person is traveling to a new country. Someone just got married, someone bought a new car, and another person is making a millions from their business. Before you know it, you will start asking yourself, "what am I doing with my life?" The funny things is that you were perfectly fine before opening the app. I think of the biggest problem with social media is that we compare our everyday lives with the best moments of other people's lives. We see their achievements, but we don't see the years they spend struggling. We see the new car, but we don't know the financial sacrifice behind it. We see beautiful relationship, but we don't know what happens behind closed doors. And because everybody seems to be moving forward, we start feeling like we are wasting time. But the truth is, life is not a competition. Some people find success early. Others take longer. Some people start again at 30,40 or even 50. That doesn't mean they failed. I believe we need to learn how to appreciate our own progress, no matter how small it looks. If all you managed to do this year was survive a difficult season, learn something new, save a little money or find courage to start again, that still counts. Don't let somebody else's timeline make you hate your journey. YOU ARE NOT BEHIND IN LIFE JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE ELSE IS AHEAD.
