So done with @JetBlue, there’s a reason why they’ve been consistently rated as the worst US airline. Bought a flight for my 30th birthday with a return on Labor Day in the evening (and paid a premium to do so).

The flights during the week were hundreds of dollars cheaper, but they refused to honor the difference even in the form of a credit.

It is a mafia like scheme-charge a premium for a flight on a holiday, change the time so people can’t make it, force you to rebook on a flight that’s hundreds of dollars cheaper but still force you to pay the original premium price. 2 hrs on phone with a rude agent for nothing

Pleased to share our work in @ImmunityCP, where we studied the role of B cell receptor (BCR) signaling in germinal center B cell selection. We developed two tools to investigate this question: a tracker of BCR-antigen engagement in vivo and a BCR inhibitor-resistant mouse model.

For decades, Dr. Anthony Fauci has led with science to fight infectious disease. His leadership during the pandemic saved countless lives, & his commitment to evidence-based science is a key reason why public policies have been able to protect public health. ASM stands w/ Fauci.

At Mnemo, we always hit the ground running! Congrats to Mercia Ngoma Komb and Marc Robert de Massy for finishing the #ParisMarathon, and to Iván Reyes Torres for finishing #UnitedNYCHalf! We’re thankful for our team’s dedication to finishing the last mile in and outside of Mnemo.

Very cool work! Anyone who gets “eaten alive” should read the thread!
Why are some people irresistible to mosquitoes? We applied behavioral analysis, genetics & metabolomics to gain new insight into this widely pondered question, which has important public health implications. Follow the thread below to see what we found. biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…

This is great! There IS a reason I get eaten alive outside in the summer. Cool work @EllenDeObaldia !

In our new @Natimmunol study, we developed a detailed roadmap of memory B cells in mice and humans, a resource to guide the study of immune memory after vaccination or recovery from infection and to help translate immunology findings between species. A thread! (1/9)

AMAZING 🤣
When you tell an 'omics lab to dress up for Halloween.. @doctorcorces

This is really interesting. It’s something I commonly encountered when analyzing data… MARCH is an important gene family for immunology, not a date, excel!! 😡. Autocorrect errors in Excel still creating genomics headache nature.com/articles/d41586-0…

New in @ImmunityCP by @clacyoung in Brink lab @GarvanInstitute. 20 years after PhD my old mentor still schooling me on the GC! We know so little. Even more critical in COVID era that we learn more to get the most out of the GC to boost immunity to VoC. cell.com/immunity/fulltext/S…

Today, the 5 most vaccinated states (14M people) had 580 people in hospital, 12 deaths In the 5 least vaccinated states (16M people)? 6,600 hospitalized, 104 deaths Per capita , least vaccinated states have 10X hospitalizations and 7X deaths So yeah, vaccines are working

It took as quite a while, but this is the new study coming from our lab, just published in @ImmunityCP . We report there our findings on how mutations in FOXO1 (common in GC-derived B cell non-Hodgkin lymphomas) work. This is the link (1/4): authors.elsevier.com/a/1dYq6…

Our paper is out; we made the cover of Immunity! Super excited to share our work, which describes the roll of FOXO1 mutations in B cell lymphomas. These mutations mimic the positive selection signals that B cells receive in the germinal center, the site of origin of most B-NHLs.
New issue online! Cover depicts work from @DDSoLab, @mroberto_sci, Varano &co showing mutations FOXO1 mimic positive selection signals to promote GC B cell expansion & lymphomagenesis. Art by David Dominguez-Sola based on discussions w/ Yukie Takabatake cell.com/immunity/issue?pii=…
