Be scared. Be very scared. The truth is being set free, finally! And the youth is leading the wave. 🪳
I think @narendramodi govt is losing the battle of perceptions particularly on @instagram. Every day hundreds of propaganda reels are being made against the govt that is being forcibly pushed on the timelines of everyone, even when you don’t follow the makers. The platform has clearly picked a side. And @AshwiniVaishnaw’s ministry seems to be either clueless about it, or the babus are compromised. @blsanthosh

The Instagram crackdown is not going to work! The government is taking down thousands of posts and accounts every day, but it seems to be missing a fundamental point. Instagram is just a platform where people are raising their questions. The reasons behind those questions exist far beyond social media, and taking down accounts won't make them disappear. If anything, this censorship risks creating even more distrust among the very people the government is supposed to answer to.

Narendra Modi has always surrendered before America. Now BJP MP and former Foreign Secretary in the Modi govt, Harsh Vardhan Shringla, has revealed: “When I was Foreign Secretary, an American official told India that we should reduce oil purchases from Russia. Before that, America itself had asked us not to take oil from Iran, and we did exactly that. Then we were asked to stop taking oil from Venezuela, even though we had invested 6 billion dollars there.” Narendra Modi is a compromised Prime Minister. नाम नरेंदर, काम सरेंडर

Indian babu will write a 500-word essay for UPSC on how to make India clean and why major policy reforms are required. But when he becomes the DM of a district, he won't even be able to fix a single pothole near his own residence. 😭😭😭

I'm going to say this once and for all, all VIP culture in this country is because of it's people. People of India had been made bootlickers by Brits and still remain to be.

Take a few minutes to hear how we are being looted by government officials. Lowest bid? The high prices will stagger you. Lowest bids and lowest quality is only for public infrastructure

Bhakts keep calling me all sorts of names here: 'urban naxal' 'dirty/ugly leftist scum' 'Commie Bong whore'. So I thought I would lean into all this name calling and share a wonderful visual someone shared on Insta about all the things we have because of protests. Protests are indeed the lifeblood of a diminishing democracy.

Please don’t be fooled by grand optics, flashy infrastructure, or lofty slogans. India has yet to claim its rightful place in the story of human progress. True greatness is measured not by spectacle, but by the freedom, dignity, prosperity, and quality of life of its people.

India’s cities produce most of its wealth, yet they are so woefully underfunded (even accounting for leakages and swindling by muncipal authorities) Municipal revenue as a share of GDP: India: 0.9% Poland: 4.5% South Africa: 6% Brazil: 7.4% UK: 13.9% Norway: 14.2% The funding gap has lasted for years. Over the past decade, Centre and state tax revenue rose from 16% to 18% of GDP, while municipal revenue still stays less that measlu 1%. Property tax shows the same problem. It brings in about 1% of GDP across the OECD. In India it brings in 0.15%. Cities are responsible for the basics we depend on every day: water, sewage, garbage, buses, footpaths and clean air. These are the services where public spending pays off most directly for citizens, and they are funded the least. A realistic target is municipal revenue of 3–4% of GDP. Getting there would mean collecting property tax properly, fixing land records, and giving cities both money and the authority to deliver. India cannot reach developed-country standards with cities this underfunded. (Prachi Mishra, Ashoka University, via @timesofindia #UrbanIndia #Cities #Governance #ViksitBharat
