"Our elementary educators are vital links to our K-5 families and essential in building computing identities with our youngest learners and families." While we need much more robust integration, this article has some easy ways to start the journey.

WSES staff are growing their #fcpsPOGPOL skills. These kinders proved it by reflecting on growth as communicators after writing All About books they narrated in Wixie. It matters because it gave these Ss a deeper learning experience. Thanks to @MrsReganKinder & Ms. Stevenson!

Tuesday Tip: Before designing learning experiences, find out where your students are beginning in their learning journeys with pre-assessments, diagnostics, or assessing prior knowledge. That’s the only way to ensure we are meeting their needs effectively.

A3: I've been enjoying virtual edcamp-style "meetups" where you can linger in breakout rooms or move between breakout rooms to recreate that feeling of hallway conversations. #csk8
A2: Looking forward to #CSTA2021 Session on Project-Based Learning with Scratch! Why? It's PBL and Scratch! Student-centered learning and student-centered creation. bit.ly/csta2021program #csk8
The first computer I used was an Atari 800. Felt like quite the hacker when I changed the credits in Jumpman! 48k of RAM (secretly jealous of my friend with a Commodore 64). What was your first? #CodeVADefine @codevirginia

Embedding a shared slide deck for breakout room discussions in @PearDeck is great because Ss don't need to open another tab/window and when I change slides, they're off the shared slides!
I can also name the version history for each period, restore old version, and reuse! 🙌🏼
Thank you @tech_stout87 for an awesome session on Book Creator! Can't wait to share this resource with my teachers. Powerful and easy way for students to create and make their thinking and learning visible! #SBTSAdventure
Hi! My name is James Koontz and I am a new SBTS at West Springfield ES. A goal I have for this year is to keep my focus on fundamentals- supporting distance learning with tools and strategies that will endure even after DL is behind us! #SBTSAdventure
