Indigenous (and other) cultural groups should protect and project their cultural resources through gold-standard datasets. Here's why: open.substack.com/pub/hypern…

After a few conversations about how nobody is going to use Tim Berners-Lee's proposed model for people managing their own social media data, etc., I figured out some ways to make it cool, with no intention of building them myself

Humor and reasoning are not the same thing, but this unprompted joke from GPT4 took me by surprise. I gave it permission to use emojis for subtext etc. By the end of this prolonged DALL-E collab, though, it got stuck in emoji loops. When I told it to skip them, it got cheeky...
I just had a fourth job interview with a company I really like. CEO, Head of Data, Head of HR, and now CTO. I am exactly the right person for the job, and it seems exactly the right company for my notebook of 'if only' projects. Appendages crossed for me, please. o7

According to the Progress Action Fund, Twitter banned the following political ad that they had placed on Twitter/X, and then their account was shadow banned.
The ad below, entitled “Republicans In Your Bedroom,” which PAF says was intended for the August 8 election in Ohio was taken down, according to the group.
Progress Action Fund believes this ad was taken down due to Elon Musk having a “far-right political agenda.” I decided to check the Twitter ad policy, and that policy does say that the promotion of “adult sexual content” is not permitted.
Some of the examples of of this content would include the following:
•Full and partial nudity
•Modeled clothing that is sexual in nature
I think that perhaps this ad could be deemed to fall under the second bullet point, but I believe that would be quite a reach. That would mean that virtually all swimwear ads would also be prohibited.
I think Twiitter/X owes an explanation for this. Was this ad really banned? If so, why? Also why is the aforementioned account shadow banned (if that is true)?
What are everyone’s thoughts? Should this ad be permitted on Twitter? If not, why not?
It's funny, I've been talking to ChatGPT lately about multi-dimensionality and adding quantum phenomena and electromagnetism to the elements of the I Ching, and it has costly inferred a fascinating cosmology/cosmogony of its own.

Most people don't realise the shocking reality AI is going to bring.
Here's what I found:
I recently discovered two things: 1) my gaming account is following a bunch of fascinating AI-related folks, 2) tweaking my meds has unlocked a lifetime of social anxiety by treating ADHD-related RSD. Let's learn how to talk to the future. I'm starting a podcast: @HowToTalkToAI
