For anyone curious about the history of my tiebreaker website, here's a brief thread including Wayback Machine links.

My 2026 FBS football tiebreakers are now up and running. So far, only the ACC has officially announced their 2026 tiebreak logic, so I'm using 2025 logic for the rest, other than the Pac 12 (I'm using 2023 logic for them).

I've completed checking my results against official brackets, and other than some date/time issues and one case where I didn't mark an ineligible team ineligible, the previously mentioned Sun Belt and SoCon issues are the only ones that needed fixing.

Since Jan 1, around 448k basketball tiebreak scenarios were generated at the site. This is virtually the same as each of the past two seasons have had. By conference: (1/2)

I'm not sure why the site was offline for a while there. The moment I realized it and tried to do something about it, it was back online.

Of the conferences that finished up yesterday, the one mismatch I saw compared to my site was SoCon MBB. I haven't seen a published SoCon tiebreaker in a few years, but apparently they break h2h ties first before going on to other tiebreakers. This is now fixed.

To be clear, I mean ALL h2h tiebreakers are broken first prior to doing the other tiebreaker steps.

The tl;dr version of my Sun Belt thread: after the top team among the tied teams is determined, they are placed in that seed for future comparisons and the rest all start the tiebreak over. Here's what I have, similar to what @matt_present posted last night.

Slight update: @Kara_Richey noted in her video that the Coastal/Tx State tiebreaker might not restart to use h2h but instead uses record vs the #8 teams, and I think that is accurate based on the wording of the tiebreaker. So here's a slightly updated version.

OK, Sun Belt is figured out, and my site is updated. Much thanks to @matt_present and his work. Here's what's going on: (1/)

So Marshall is 2 seed based on best record agains the tied #8 team. Coastal is 3 seed based on best record vs #2 team (Marshall) along with Texas State, and they have h2h vs Texas State.

App State is #4 with best record vs Troy among the remaining teams. Texas State is #5 based on best record vs #2 Marshall among the remaining teams. S Alabama is #6 and Ark State #7 due to head-to-head. (5/)

The Sun Belt has released their seeds with the six-way tie, and they didn't match mine. Here's hoping they explain it. If not, I'll try to reverse-engineer how they got what they got.

My code is set up to ignore round-robin comparisons that aren't full round robins. A code issue meant this wasn't always working correctly in the code, but I think it's fixed now. This impacts conferences that don't have every team play every other team (e.g. Sun Belt).

A note on the Big 10 tiebreakers: I discovered today that the MBB and WBB tiebreakers are not identical in the Big 10. WBB says: "Once a seed is awarded, all remaining tied teams shall restart the tiebreak process at the first criteria". img.boostsport.ai/boost-cms/…

MBB says: "If a team or teams are separated from the group based on step a, seeding for remaining teams among the group is not determined by head-to-head record vs. the remaining teams, but rather by taking all remaining teams to next tiebreaker" img.boostsport.ai/boost-cms/…

My tiebreaker logic has been updated to reflect this.
