Heartbroken to hear of the terrible accident at CFB Wainwright. My deepest thoughts are with the communities and loved ones affected. Thank you to the heroic first responders for your service and dedication.
Pray for Wainwright, everyone. There has been a serious incident that caused a fire at CFB Wainwright. Thank you to the brave firefighters and emergency responders working to save lives. I have spoken to the Prime Minister and the Minister of Defence to offer our support to everyone on the base and in the community. To everyone in the area, please stay safe, follow local emergency instructions, and keep roads clear for first responders.

Great day at the doors! I’m encouraged to see that our community is ready to stand for a stronger Alberta in a united Canada. Not to mention, spooky season has begun! A jack-o’-lantern is fun, but there’s nothing scarier than those who want to divide us. Let’s stay united!

This week we recognize the need to prevent construction suicide, as construction workers face a suicide rate 4 to 5 times higher than the general population. There’s always help. Let’s look out for each other. Suicide Crisis Helpline 9-8-8

At a time when we are facing senseless tariffs from the United States, our economy needs to grow stronger and Canadians must be able to rely on jobs to help put food on the table.

This is a good week to remember that a nation is the sum of its parts. To fight for Canada, therefore, requires we fight for Canadians; the Windsor workers worried about losing auto jobs; the single moms paying a fortune for back-to-school supplies and lunches for kids; the young couple that still cannot afford a house or the families losing theirs to mortgage defaults; the 2.2 million people lined up food banks and all the others who work more and afford less and who are forgotten amid all the drama. Every word we utter, every decision we make must protect their jobs, boost their wages and lower their living costs. Grand speeches, globe-trotting and grandstanding will not do that. Nor will small administrative tweaks wrapped in soaring rhetoric. Let’s focus on what we control. Launch an Economic Action Plan that unblocks the 500 projects awaiting federal permits, cuts spending, red tape and taxes on work, energy, homebuilding, and investment and build up our leverage to fight for tariff-free trade. The goal is an economy that makes more and costs less, with paycheques, not debt, so our people can fill their fridges and gas tanks without emptying their bank accounts; own homes and raise kids and retire in peace. Let’s defend our sovereignty, our flag, our land, our water and, most important of all, our people.

Just finished a call with the Prime Minister to discuss the tariff escalation. My message: release the text of the rejected agreement, recall Parliament, and adopt an emergency Economic Action Plan to save jobs and lower costs for our people. The plan should scrap gas taxes until Canada Day, have zero capital gains tax on reinvesting in Canada, end the industrial carbon tax, green -light the 500 projects waiting for federal permits, and have ZERO sales tax on Canadian-made cars. As the U.S. hikes tariffs, we must lower taxes for Canadians. Let’s all fight for our workers, our businesses, and our country.

Conservatives are disappointed that the United States has chosen to impose further unjustified tariffs on Canada. They threaten the jobs and livelihoods of families right across our country. Canadians must stand united to defend our country against these unfair attacks on our jobs and businesses. Canada cannot accept one-sided tariffs that will deindustrialize our country. Nor can we accept a bad deal. Instead, we must continue the fight for tariff-free trade. Later today, I will seek a call with the Prime Minister to discuss what we can do to fight for our workers, businesses, and economy. Conservatives will always put our country first. Conservatives support action to protect Canadians and our industries targeted by these unfair U.S. tariffs. We also need urgent economic reforms to restore growth, protect jobs and save our industry. That must include ending the industrial carbon tax, repealing anti-development laws, green lighting the 500 economic projects awaiting federal approval and major tax reforms to return investment to our country, reward work, and recharge our economy. All Canadians must stand united for our workers, our businesses and our country.
