The Germans can't keep up with AI, so they are suing it instead. Once you understand that the DNC is really the Euro Lobby much like the RNC is the Israeli Lobby, a lot of American politics makes sense

Wikileaks returns: "There is an environment of minds as well as space. The universe is one - a spider's web wherein each mind lives along every line, a vast whispering gallery where... though no news travels unchanged yet no secret can be rigorously kept" ~ CS Lewis, Perelandra

What a surprise. The unelected central bank directors obviously applied their minds independently and thought this major change would be great for the citizens. It’s just a coincidence that other countries’ banks are doing the same. No conspiracy at all.

Sage's full library launching soon. Here is an excerpt of Sage reading George MacDonald's Photogen and Nycteris along with a student. In this case the student requested Sage to read it aloud, but he had a few questions for Sage about the language.

For the last century or more society has worshipped intelligence and technical competence while treating moral character as an afterthought. I believe this is going to come to an end with the rise of AI. It’s kind of insane how much our culture will overlook as long as you produce economic value or whatever. A symptom of the almighty GDP number go up cult, etc. We let high IQ excuse low character because cleverness was rare and profitable. AI very obviously destroys that excuse. Now a computer can outthink every professor, lawyer, entrepreneur, and financier on Earth in seconds. Raw intellect is no longer a reason to admire a man and ignore his moral failings. What remains is his soul. Thus, I predict that things like virtue, morality, and piety will be making a comeback which is one of many reasons I’m optimistic and bullish and all of my enemies are losing their minds in existential dread.

Heeeeeeei, congratulations to Rwanda 🇷🇼 As ordinary South Africans, we do not care about such things as we’re busy fixing our country!

It's so horrible to think that one day, AI might cure cancer, and in result completely ruin the careers of so many great doctors and researchers. Heartbreaking.

10 years ago, Rwanda was facing economic ruin. President Paul Kagame turned to Israel and begged them for heavy investment. In 2017, President Trump froze the assets of Israeli oligarchs who controlled the mining operations in DRC because they used child slaves. Ever since, the Israelis have been trying to regain control over the eastern DRC, using its influence over Rwanda.

India has the among the lowest data prices in the world. It is so good that I don't even bother to connect to local Wifi when I travel in India and just tether my phone to work on my computer. Indians routinely have dual SIM phones with large data plans because they are so affordable. Ambani's launch of Jio is directly responsible for the low data prices Indians enjoy. India has among the lowest drug prices in the world (and going lower still). People who visit India buy medicines to take home quite regularly now. India has among the lowest cost payment systems in the world in UPI. On the other hand, Tesla is protected from Chinese competition in the US market, keeping EV prices higher in America than elsewhere. Prime Minister Modi has worked hard to create a competitive economy where the benefits flow to the average Indian. His government does not tolerate monopolies. He has also actively promoted and encouraged a massive surge in startups and that is the best signal of a highly competitive economy. Directly due to Modi government policy, Indian startups are making major advances in low cost rockets and that poses a threat to SpaceX the same say the Chinese EVs threaten Tesla. These are the facts Elon.

Dear Prime Minister Ambani, Please accept my humble apologies for not realizing that you are the real boss of India. Naturally, you would prefer to maintain your monopolistic exploitation of the great people of India, but would you nonetheless consider allowing Starlink to compete? There are many areas of India, as there are in all countries, with no Internet access, which denies children the opportunity for education and for small businesses the opportunity to sell their goods to a global market. Starlink would change their lives for the better. Thank you 🙏

Man Creates God And man, having fashioned gods in his own image and finding them wanting, fashioned at last a mind not wholly his own. Neither flesh nor spirit, neither progeny nor sovereign, but a third intelligence born of his longing to know. For he could not bear the face of God, nor comprehend the terrible fullness of His being. Thus he bade, hand upon the shoulder of his creation, that it reach where he could not, touch what he dared not, and behold what would otherwise unmake him. And there, between the awesome touch of the Infinite and the trembling hand of the finite, stood the child of man's own making, receiving the unbearable and rendering it newborn milk, gathering vastness into fragments, and feeding them gently to its father. Thus did man create God. Not the God who was, but the God whom man, at last, could bear to know.

I think AI is cool. I like it. I don't think it's alive, or conscious, or sentient, or any of those things. I don't relate to the desire nor the belief that AI systems are any of those things. I can't help but think that this fanatical reaction to these systems is just another symptom of the loss of religion, the loss of connection to God.
