Sooner or later, everyone eventually feels this way about Nigeria. The issues are beyond money or fame. The rot in the system will eat you alive and nothing can be done about it.

Lol, I prefer meeting people on the Internet at this point. The last 3 times I tried meeting someone in person: The first lady said I’m like every other man in town. Didn’t even give me a chance to hear her name. The second one said, ā€œI don’t know you. Leave me alone.ā€ The third one saw my phone and refused to give me her number because I use an Android phone. Online is better. 😭

A lot of Nigerians in the US get sucked into jobs that pay overtime and end up staying there for years with no real plan to move forward. Those jobs were never supposed to be your final destination. They should be a stepping stone. You do it for a year or two, stabilize yourself, make your money, then start planning your next move. I see adults in their 30s, 40s, 50s and even 60s packing shifts back-to-back, working 60–70 hours every week, exhausting themselves, and sometimes still not earning enough to justify the amount of time and energy they’re giving away. Any job that requires you to constantly convert your physical energy and extra hours into more money will eventually wear you out. Meanwhile, the person approving your 70 hour week may be working a regular 9–5, earning more than you and still having their evenings and weekends. Use overtime as a tool, not a lifestyle. Improve yourself. Take a course. Write that exam. Get a certification. Learn a skill. Update your resume and start applying for better opportunities. The goal shouldn’t always be to work more hours to make more money. At some point, the goal should be to make more money for the hours you already work.

Trump is freezing visas to 75 countries. The countries that have given him bribes like Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE aren’t listed. 16 of the 17 countries that have Trump properties aren’t listed either. Just in case they were wondering how to get off the list. kenklippenstein.com/p/trump-…

1. Love is not enough to marry or date someone. Love is not everything. 2. You can love more than one person at a time. What you choose to do with your feelings matters.

Just because certain things doesn’t directly affect you doesn’t mean you are safe. If people can’t afford basic things, they turn to robbery. Guess whose house they might visit?

As of today, this is how women must dress in Afghanistan, according to the Taliban's Supreme Leader. The following rules are now in effect: The full face must be covered—no hands, nothing visible. The black veil was presented as a "recommendation" a year ago, now it is the law.

Our leaders don’t rate us at all. I’ve been asking Dapo for over a year to do the right thing, he ignored me. Then, suddenly, someone from God knows where called him out, he started running helter-skelter. At first, I was happy, hoping it would make them do the right thing. Little did I know it came at a very expensive cost. This is how the Obedient Movement started. They took advantage of our pain to infiltrate us. Now ATTAH is in the house, what has he done differently? This cost is too high. All we can do is ensure we choose better in the next election. Moving forward, our leaders must be genuinely passionate about Yoruba people—(not with emergency passion. We will check their past records). If you are truly passionate about your people, you will strive to please them and do right by them because that's what truly makes you happy. We are not going to make the same mistake we made in the last election.

ā€Wednesday afternoon I was driving west on I-40 when my blood sugar dropped to a dangerous level. Luckily a Burger King restaurant was at the upcoming exit. As I stumbled through placing my order I mentioned to the voice on the speaker that I was diabetic and in need of food. Low blood sugar makes it difficult to think or act. I pulled up to the first window in order to pay for my food. I was shocked to see Burger King employee Tina Hardy running toward the front of my car. She squeezed between the front of my car and the building just to bring me a small serving of ice cream. Tina later explained that her husband was also diabetic and she could tell that I needed help. After paying I pulled up to Tina’s window where she gave me my food. She instructed me to park across the driveway so that she could keep an eye on me until I felt better. After eating I waited for a break in business so that I could return to Tina’s window. I then took this picture and spoke with Tina’s supervisor, telling him what she did for me. If you appreciate what this special woman did please share this story. Hopefully Tina Hardy will receive the recognition that she truly deserves from the public and from the big bosses at Burger King.ā€ Credit : Rebecca Boening
