I need everyone to get over their aversion to the smell fetish in this because it’s legit one of the best representation I’ve seen of what adulthood is like for me as a chronic overthinker who’s fumbling through life.

People are still rehashing the same topics of next gen Big 3, Nana discourse, demographic arguments, and whether lesbian fujoshis exist in the big year 2026 & I’m bored.
Just how many times do we need to talk about the same topic or series?

not to be too alarmist but it's hard not to see kadokawa world manga, mangaplus, and manga million as japanese companies frustrated with how much the US companies they own are making and trying to undercut them to take a larger share of profits.

“It’s a remake of The Great Gatsby, Liz, except this time they solve crimes. I play Nicole ‘Nicky’ Carraway, a cop with dreams of becoming a writer”

no it’s fine i just didn’t expect to become the global spokesperson for agonized smut devotees in new york magazine
Archive of Our Own, more commonly known as AO3, announced it was going down for maintenance for “around 2 weeks” but possibly ‘up to 4 weeks,’ leaving thousands of fan-fiction readers publicly grieving. thecut.com/article/archive-o…

it's peak comedy watching newer Ao3 users discover stuff like "FFN regularly purged explicit fics & banned RPF back in 2002," "other sites have dogshit search capability," "Ao3's average fic quality is higher than elsewhere" & other reasons everyone moved there in the first place

my take on the ao3 google drive drama: preservation and redistribution are two different things. downloading fic for personal use is fine; uploading other people’s work permission to your own archive and distributing the link to thousands of people is a different thing. (1/2)
