DJ MC is back on the label with a new two-tracker of light and dark contrasts for the DJs. He released 'Relentless' with us in 2023 and has become a fixture on the Chicago footwork scene with output on @Moveltraxx and a barrage of self-released material. ‘Walk Ya Down’ is dark and grimy, riding on a 4/4 kick drum with a ravey, twisted synth line, wrapped around a bitter sample. ‘Ghetto Story 2’ is a less moody affair and catchy as hell, with the kind of airy pads which are a lasting link from old Detroit techno to footwork, lifting up sugary, flipped and chopped vocal samples over rolling toms. Out this Friday, lead track out now Buy - djmc.lnk.to/walkyadown

Habits and work ethic far out weight inspiration. STK was heavily inspired by the matrix and ghost in the shell, I am not a film maker , best I can do is a movie-like song. You don’t just become something by wishing and hoping, you have to do it. No shortcuts. Period.
