aedi is one of the kindest caleb artists around. she has never involved herself in drama and has been nothing but kind to everyone who has interacted with her. i hope this situation doesn’t break her spirit and that she can come back knowing that many of us support her. nobody is obligated to like the type of artwork she depicts, but i find it painfully ironic that the same people who mass-reported her are still waiting to return to a game with problematic themes they constantly preach against. i simply cannot take anyone seriously in this regard. if something bothers you, either block, use blockchain, mute, or do not engage with those very themes if they truly disgust you. curating your space is not hard in this day and age. mind you, a thread made earlier for others to distance themselves from content they did not want to see was criticized simply because that crowd did not want to interact with those particular artists anymore. yet the one against aedi was meant to witch-hunt and mass-report her. it is incredibly disturbing how this fandom throws around the word “pedophile” and makes horrible accusations in order to witch-hunt someone they do not like. in turn, this has caused others to turn a blind eye to, or overlook, people within this fandom who have actually harmed others in the past. to claim that aedi is involved in a lads csam community just to tarnish her reputation is absolutely disgusting. all of this is to say that the malicious nature of this situation goes to show that a good chunk of people within the love and deepspace fandom do not care about victims or the well-being of others. rather, they find a punching bag or start witch-hunts to feel morally superior and ultimately feed their savior complex. then, they attack those who do not create or post the content they themselves enjoy or want to see.
