i built an app that converts any space into a digital clone in minutes
as the founder of Teleport - the only iphone app that can capture high-quality 360° panoramas - i already had the perfect input when @theworldlabs released their 3d reconstruction api
📍 first test - a co-working space in chiang mai 🇹🇭
the flow:
1. capture 16 ultra-wide photos
2. stitch into a 360° equirectangular image
3. reconstruct a fully navigable 3d environment via @theworldlabs api
there’s something profound about exploring these 3d worlds. it brings you back in a way photos never could.
In my constant quest to curate the information that reaches me, I spent this weekend taming the beast that is Instagram.
With Claude's help, I stripped Instagram down to the nerfed version I'd always wished for:
- No reels/ads
- A chronological feed of only the people I follow
- Search and profiles, for when I intentionally look someone up
- DMs
I'd tried screen time apps, but they were too easy to ignore. I'd tried deleting Instagram, but then I'd meet someone, scramble to re-download it to swap Instagrams, and weeks later it would still be on my phone.
So I deleted the real app, and this finally feels sustainable: all the value of Instagram (connecting with people!), without the attention tax.
If anyone is interested in trying it out for themselves, just let me know!
everyone's upset that fable 5 is gone, but can i remind you that opus 4.8 just one-shotted this: an AI badminton scorekeeper
point a phone at the court → it follows the shuttlecock, keeps score, and tells you how hard you're whacking it
get back to building friends
spent the weekend turning my @bumpbyamo location data from the past year into a 3d scratch map
the taller the tower, the more times i've been in that area
update: enhanced 3d world generation just dropped in Teleport with @theworldlabs marble 1.1
16 iPhone photos → fully explorable 3d world in minutes

update: you can now generate a digital clone of your space by just looking at it
ray-ban meta glasses → fully navigable 3D world in minutes

ray-ban meta glasses → fully navigable 3d world
📍 my friend’s studio in tokyo
the meta wearables sdk is still pretty limited
no imu data, no white balance lock, lower resolution than native capture
i ended up wiring my own gyroscope into the glasses just to track orientation 😅
a ton of exciting things to build here, but first @meta pls expose imu
update: this just went live in Teleport

don't get me wrong, going viral was incredible. but what were people actually saying? who do i reply to first? why did this blow up?
so i built an app to inject ai analysis into the @X analytics page to make sense of it all
how it works:
1. open any post in x analytics
2. click "Run Analysis" - it fetches every reply, quote, and repost
3. ai clusters them by topic, scores sentiment, finds key engagers, and drafts replies in your voice
this post went super viral and brought in 1,900 new followers (thank you!!)
so I spent the weekend building the analytics feature I wish X had:
whofollowedme - a Safari extension that uses AI to analyze your new followers and find the people worth connecting with, right inside X analytics
how it works:
1. pulls your new followers from X's analytics in real-time
2. builds an interest graph from who you follow
3. uses claude to analyze every new follower by reach and relevance to your interests - and tells you who's worth engaging with
(found out @marclou was following me through this. so cool!! thank you)

a bunch of you said this would be huge for real estate 🏡
so i pushed it further: virtual staging just went 3d 👀
the flow:
1. capture 16 ultra-wide photos
2. stitch into a 360° equirectangular panorama
3. feed that into @NanoBanana with a staging prompt → generate a newly staged 360° image
4. reconstruct that into a fully navigable 3d world using @theworldlabs
you’re not just staging photos anymore -
you’re staging space
i’m starting to think 360° panoramas might just be the bridge between 2d and 3d worlds
edit the pano. edit the world.
