got an $8 beer and shot deal but the bar had a $10 minimum. bartender asks if I want to get something else to meet it, I tell him nah I’ll just pay it, and he says β€œ..you could drink half of that shot and I’ll refill it, we’ll call that $2.” incredible stuff.

on my last day at the ocean I always stay up and sneak out to the shore to watch the meteors on an empty beach with the waves running over my legs. I’ve been doing it since I was a kid. my family doesn’t question it anymore. when I vanish at night they know exactly where I am.

kayaked a whole bunch today and observed a dolphin pod up close for a very long time! two females protecting a calf while the matriarch corralled schools of fish to them to eat!! so neat!! not a lot of aquatic life this trip, but that was very cool.
