The constant pressure to be available at all hours is taking a toll. Reclaiming your time shouldn't feel like a struggle against biology. It is time to rethink how we value rest and productivity. #Burnout #WorkLifeBalance
Do you suffer from a desire to be horizontal by 10pm? You may be suffering from Rest Dependency.
Millions of Americans lose 8 hours every night to this preventable disorder. Ask your doctor if Restempic may be right for you.

The Science is Never Settled
I saw a repost this morning from a friend in my feed. It looked like it was about science, though it was actually about politics and money.

On the protein powder lead findings: plant proteins run higher because rice & pea take up what the soil holds, then isolation concentrates it further. Agronomy problem, not a cheating problem. Brand switching w/o lot level testing just moves you to a different farm.
"Third party tested" usually means the finished blend, once, at launch. The raw material is where lead enters. We hold a third party chemistry COA on all 50 active ingredients in our formulary, per material, not per marketing claim. Ask a brand which one they mean.
Everyone says flip the package over and read it. Fine for food. Useless for supplements.
A supplement facts panel is a claim, not a measurement. The measurement is a lot specific assay, and almost nobody buys one.
Read the COA, not the panel.
Creatine is in every 2026 longevity stack. The manufacturing detail nobody posts: monohydrate caps out near 750mg per capsule. 5g means 7 capsules. So creatine inside a daily pill pack is 10 to 15% of the studied dose. Take the powder & skip the pill.
Magnesium glycinate is approx 14% elemental Mg by weight. Our capsule holds 133mg elemental & that fills it. So when a label promises 400mg magnesium glycinate in 1 small capsule, you are either reading compound weight or there is oxide in the blend.
Every creatine cognition headline runs 5g/day of monohydrate. That is roughly 10 size 00 capsules. Which is why almost every capsule creatine on shelf is underdosed by design: the studied dose does not fit the format. Want the trial dose, buy powder.
Magnesium glycinate is bulky. 133mg of elemental magnesium takes most of a size 00 capsule once you count the glycine. So when a small tablet claims 400mg magnesium, it is oxide. Cheap, light, poorly absorbed, mostly a laxative. The form is not a footnote. It is the dose.
Blue Zones collapsing does not change my clinical practice, because it never informed it. What survives: protein adequacy, VO2max, sleep, not being deficient in anything. None of that came from centenarian demography. It came from trials that moved a biomarker.
I run a formulary of 51 active ingredients w/ 3rd party chemistry COAs. Only 12 also carry 3rd party micro COAs. That gap is deliberate: micro matters for botanicals & mushroom powders, not for a purified amino acid. Blanket "fully tested" claims usually mean nobody chose.
The longevity aisle is selling mouse data as human outcomes. Urolithin A, spermidine, fisetin: real mechanisms, thin human evidence, cap doses that rarely hit what the cited trials used. The company behind the powder matters more than the molecule on the label.
The creatine brain data is real, but read the doses. Muscle saturates at 3 to 5g. Brain studies used 10 to 20g because the blood brain barrier resists it. No 5g gummy is a brain nootropic. It is a powder problem. 20g of anything does not fit in a capsule.
