As an AEE participant I was able to take part in the menti survey for each question. While not shocked about the binary nature of some of the answers, it was encouraging to see similar responses to my own! Very thought provoking blog post by @Imogensjones and @Johnnygcake
It's blog-o'clock! Here: deadbodiesandthelaw.wordpres… @Johnnygcake and I reflect on our presentation to the APT community on the theme of 'respecting the dead' in mortuaries.

To care well, we need to treat the living & the dead as people. We need to put this work on the pedestal it deserves, recruiting great people & training them properly. We need to demonstrate that this works matters, to value it & to see it for what it is: caring for people. 5/7

Yesterday the Fuller inquiry called on the govt to urgently launch a regulator to tackle the abuse of dead people within the funeral sector. Responding to this news, Nevres Kemal, whose daughter Azra was a victim of mortuary abuse, said, ‘no one cares about the dead’. 1/7

It's been a while, but I am back with @Johnnygcake to talk about what it means to 'respect' the dead. This is a musing blog and reflects the early stages of a collaboration. We're keen to engage with others on this and to get your thoughts: deadbodiesandthelaw.wordpres…

I’m not usually one to attack the #BBC but if I wake up tomorrow and they haven’t laid on 15 hours of sports for me to watch there will be hell to pay.
The absolute joy I have of having my maternity leave coincide with an Olympic year. Totally unintentional but very much appreciated!

We went to the pub after voting to celebrate the downfall of the Tories. A kind child fell in love with our dog Patrick and drew a picture of baby Phoebe. I like this, whatever it is. This feeling ❤️
I was not emotionally prepared to reach the Van Gogh episode of Doctor Who this morning. Bloody hell it's good but I need a hug.
Why is trying to speak to someone or complain to @RoyalMail actually impossible?! They've lost my parcel but claim it was never sent, contains my daughters clothes to make a keepsake. I'm so upset and no one is there to help.
Can I add @RoyalMail that when you've lost something so precious, going on your website and seeing this just causes fury. I don't trust your delivery service in the slightest now.
