We should make this a symbol and plaster it everywhere; surely no group will come around and give it a negative connotation.

Grading exams and once again seeing my faith in the next generation slowly slip through my fingertips.
Jeez, everyone is saying Twitter is usable again since Ukraine bombed Russian data centers, but that can't be true.

To add to this, almost every major advancement in physics and science in general has come from someone finding a new way to apply new ideas from mathematics to their field.
What seems to be useless mathematics today can possibly be the next paradigm shift in physics.

People really underestimate how many important concepts in math initially appeared useless. My favorite to drop is always knot theory, a field that had very few applications until biochemists found it to be highly useful for understanding protein structures.

The economic vibes are so good, especially among the young, for the simple reason that median wealth for Zoomers is running way above any prior generation.
I am not joking, I am being subjected to a Trump Rally against my will. He's somewhere downtown and I can hear everything

Are these results robust to using log(Starbucks + Venti)?
Coffee shops boost innovation. 10% more Starbucks in an area --> 3-4% more inventions.
People gather over a cuppa. They share ideas, discuss how to untangle a knotty problem, help see an issue from another perspective. These conversations lead to breakthroughs and inventions.
A very fun paper finds that when Starbucks rolled out to a new county, it fueled a coffee-shop culture, urging more and more people to “grab a coffee” together. The authors compare the counties where Starbucks had rolled out to those where it had not yet arrived. And they find that the number of patents in caffeinated counties is meaningfully higher.
This paper underscores how essential the face-to-face encounter is. Starbucks isn’t that old. People Could have picked up the phone and chatted at any time. People Could have dropped an email. Probably they did. But those connections didn’t yield the same insights and creativity.
Turns out that a Cup of Joe really does help the knowledge flow. We talk about how much in-person connection boosts creativity in In Person. It’s out in just few days, so now is a great time to pre-order.

I'd add "capitalism" as a word that is losing its meaning. Leftists are increasingly using it as a vacuous buzzword.
"Oh, that's just capitalism for you!"
It is specific enough to make you sound smart without proving it, and vague enough that no one will question it.
I would like to apologize to anyone on here who thinks I am responding to them WAY too much. You can blame the algorithm.
It's just that I refuse to check the horrors beyond human comprehension that is my "For you" feed.
