The difference between Dems doing well or even just “ok” on Nov. 3 vs doing something historic will depend on how many voters under 30 actually vote. This poll matches every x-tab I’ve seen this cycle. GenZ has shifted sharply against the party in power. The only unknown is the turnout
🚨Democrats lead Republicans 63%–26% among likely voters ages 18–29 in our Harvard Youth Poll.
63% of #GenZ say their midterm vote is opposition to Trump and his policies.
Young voters are poised to deliver a sharp rebuke. Here’s what’s driving it. 🧵

When my book came out, everyone asked if Trump was going to change the direction of US trade policy. "Too soon to say" I'd say because of status quo bias. Now Trump made "tariff" one of the most hated words in politics, says @greg_ip wsj.com/economy/trade/how-ta… via @WSJ (1/2)

🔍 #Cargill's Brian Sikes: global #food production has quadrupled since 1960 while #farmland expanded just 7.6%, producing enough to #feed everyone, yet 670 mn people remain hungry as climate disruption, trade fragmentation and #geopolitical realignment make volatility the norm and complicate supply chains. Farmers operate ~600 mn #farms globally, accounting for 40% of the world’s workforce, but face higher costs, tighter margins and climate shocks, while concentration leaves 70% of food sourced from just 15 countries and nine #crops accounting for 60% of production out of 6,000 cultivated species.

Sino announced another sb auction for next week, 512k t. If demand remains close to 60%, cumulative sales will reach ~2.9 Mi t (11 auctions).
China has bought 105 USG cargoes for SON shipment,~7 Mi t. Assuming 100% of USG beans as commercial crush, the ttl sb close supply will be ~10 Mi t for this window.
That would still not fully close the gap left by lower purchases from SAM for this same window compared to LY (12.5 Mi t). More auctions.
