3/4 We @JanHasenauer lab @ICBMunich developed the #HPC ready tool #pyABC (github.com/icb-dcm/pyabc), with e.g. self-tuned distances and proposal kernels. Together with @morpheus_lab we develop the @FitMultiCell platform tailored to multi-cellular systems. #YoungScientistsHMGU

The 2nd #fitmulticell meeting in Heidelberg already showed great progress on the path to data-driven modeling of multi-cellular systems. Check out how we integrate #pyabc and @morpheus_lab at gitlab.com/fitmulticell!

Replying to @drmichaellevin
I recommend you @morpheus_lab those type of simulations can be run with very little effort. You can start here: morpheus.gitlab.io/blog/2018…
Day 2 of our meeting on standardization of multicellular models: a two-track hackaton 🤓 discussing and implementing (1) tools to translate models between simulators 👨💻 and (2) creating a multicell language specification.

The current version of multicell-conv only supports a part of modeling features. But by diving in and try translating, it highlights many of the practical difficulties.
And it turns out to be a great discussion starter. 🔥
Importantly, we have all the people in one room to solve these issues today!
