Sounds wonderful! A relative of mine lived in Palm Desert & one day she was walking down the street with a bag full of groceries & a car pulled up, well more like a limo, & a man asked her if she needed a ride. She was so astonished to see it was none other than Bob Hope. Wow ❣️

Just recently, on the anniversary of Bob's passing, I was recalling his brilliant one-liners with friends. My favourite (sorry, American friends, “favorite”) was about his early boxing career “They were my Rembrandt days. I spent more time on the canvas than actually boxing!” 😆

From all reports I ever read of them in years past, were a wonderful couple: individually warm and generous people. Dolores had to cope with Bob going overseas often to entertain troops and must have been so proud of him as no doubt he was of her too. Lucky you knowing them.
