DWP: assesses you for PIP and decides you meet the criteria. Venue: “Not enough. Go and prove yourself to Nimbus too.” Since when did a private company become the gatekeeper deciding whether disabled people can access disabled ticketing? #Nimbus @yorkbarbican

Here’s my problem with the ‘the world wasn’t designed for you’ refrain about neurodivergence. It assumes that the world was designed for everyone else. The majority, who apparently have neurotypical brains or who find it possible to adhere to neuronormative standards. A quick glance around you (and a rudimentary knowledge of history) will reveal that this cannot possibly be the case. The world was not designed to meet the needs of ordinary people. The fallout is all around us.

Dismayed to see the #AssistedDying Bill returning to Parliament. When a proposal on such a profound ethical issue (whatever your view) reaches an impasse, we should pause & reconsider. Not push ahead & insist. There are many views & they all matter.

For decades climate scientists have said that continuing to burn fossil fuels would lead to both more wildfires and that they would be increasingly severe. Yet politicians - many of whom are still in public office on large taxpayer salaries - dismissed, scorned and ignored these warnings. Every bit of new coverage of these fires should be framed as the direct result climate change and political failings. Those who profited by underplaying the danger should be challenged for their complicity in every interview. Especially those charlatans who, even now, still claim to be on the side of farmers and the poorest in our society - despite enabling a crisis that will hit those groups hardest.

How do we tackle over crowding in our prisons and what are the costs of early release? They are colossal and far less effective than investing in early work with children & youth people to create happier, healthier & more constructive childhoods!

This . Helen is bleeding the taxpayer dry .
Helen Whately got a pay rise this year of £4,695 Disabled people in UC health element get £10,256.40 per year. So Helen's pay rise is nearly half of what a disabled person gets per year. Yet, we are the problem? Get out of here.

Literally untrue (and I am a national expert on benefits and mental health).
Labour are watering down benefit checks. £ millions more will go out in benefits, paid for by taxpayers. People getting PIP for things like anxiety, alcoholism, acne...could get payouts for years with no re-assessments. Labour doesn't care. @Conservatives are fighting to stop this.

As you sit boiling in the heat, never forget that all those people who for decades have deliberately and maliciously disrupted efforts to tackle climate change are probably sitting comfortable in their large air conditioned houses. Those houses were likely funded on the back of lies and misinformation they helped propagate.

Keir lost his authority and control of Labour with his disastrous ‘Universal Credit & PIP Bill’ which our relentless activity hugely and publically weakened. Let this be a message to the new leadership. #HumanityNotHarm

No one seems to be talking about the fact Reform didn't have the result they hoped for in the Welsh election. They fell well short of what they said they'd get. They only got 29% of the vote. You can't be the voice of the people if over 70% of the people demonstrably don't want you to be their voice. Why do you think Farage didn't show up? He doesn't want to be associated with falling short. We saw this when they lost in Caerphilly last year, he was no where to be seen.

This is a Reform candidate in Wales talking about scrapping the default 20mph limit. It probably didn't help her case that she was talking in front of a 50mph sign... There is an important conversation to have about 20mph. While it can be frustrating to drive slowly the data suggests that the policy has already paid for itself many times over in terms of savings for the taxpayer.

Wes Streeting must kick Palantir out of our NHS. Donald Trump's favourite tech giant shouldn't be allowed anywhere near Brits' private health data. There are fantastic British tech firms who would be far better and safer for the NHS.
