I just uploaded a new YouTube video breaking down my full rewriting process for scripts. The entire video is basically a deep dive into how I personally approach rewriting in a way that feels less chaotic and a lot more enjoyable. youtu.be/YOHighoTlEo?si=brD5…

I’m making an independent animated short about a 10-year-old duck who wants a girl to like him. The animated short is called 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐁𝐢𝐠 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐲 and comes from my series 𝐔𝐩𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐃𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐬. So be sure to 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 along and see the finished animation soon!

One of the things most people don’t think about when starting an independent animation project is how much work goes into making every single mouth for every single character 😅😅 For context: I’m making an independent animation right now called 𝐔𝐩𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐃𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐬.

This script has been through so many iterations, I’ve kinda lost track. If you didn’t already know, I’m making an independent animation right now for a series I developed called 𝐔𝐩𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐃𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐬.

The reason you're not creative. Not motivated. Not focused. AKA the stuff that came easy to you as a kid. Is that every form of "relaxing" in our society is SMASHING our minds with serotonin and dopamine. TikTok. Video games. Drinking. WATCHING sports. If you're doing these to relax, your mind is never at rest. Like a dude spending every waking minute in a strip club. You'll become numb to things that used to drive you wild. Your motivation to chase plummets. When you relax, you have to actually relax and empty the mental bucket. Drop it all. Read. Pick up an instrument. Lift. Keep your phone in a drawer far away from you. DEPRIVE yourself of the easy serotonin and dopamine. All that gusto you used to have as a kid will come right back. Then USE the drive on what matters. AKA the thing, the work. Then ACTUALLY relax again. 99% of people are on a treadmill. They do low-focus, low-creativity, ass work... Then get home and scroll, eat sugar, play video games/scroll/watch Fox News/CNN, wank, binge Netflix and repeat. Like the guy in the strip club, they can no longer enjoy the "curves" of life because they're in overdrive... staring at ass and tits 24/7. You're not getting old or dull or necessarily suffering from ADHD. Your brain just hasn't had a breather in years.

I just uploaded a new YouTube video breaking down how I think about theme when writing stories. Theme went from being one of the vaguest parts of writing for me to becoming one of the first things I think about when breaking a story. youtu.be/rR7r_M0S2iI?si=347V…

This script has been through so many iterations, I’ve kinda lost track. If you didn’t already know, I’m making an independent animation right now for a series I developed called 𝐔𝐩𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐃𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐬. It’s a series about a wealthy family of ducks in Central Park, NY.

This is my fourth YouTube vlog documenting the journey of my independent animation journey. In this episode, I share what it actually looked like for me to cast the voice actors for my new animated short, Uptown Ducks. youtu.be/Xw3c7CcLT0E?si=kUVZ…

I take feedback very seriously because after staring at the same script for months, I genuinely lose the ability to tell whether certain jokes, scenes, or ideas are actually working anymore. Check it out and let me know what you think! youtu.be/FoIRtW0LRfs?si=beH-…

I’ve been teasing the progress from my animation 𝐔𝐩𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐃𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐬 here on X over the past few months. But I have yet to sit down and tell you what the series is actually about. I wrote an entire LinkedIn post about it here: linkedin.com/feed/update/urn…

Claynosaurz is an absolutely amazing case study in how to build a successful independent animation IP. I’ve learned so much from studying them closely. My biggest takeaway: Build in the open. Don’t be afraid to share what I’m making before it’s finished. youtu.be/P7pOxMLpMjw?is=y1oN…

I haven't taken much, or any really, time to digest everything that's happened in the last few months. (I realize I didn't even tweet a big message about Prime Video and what our content going up on really meant to me, as a person, having gone through so much shit in this space and being perpetually in startup and defence mode.) I don't celebrate wins much, it's always what next, what now, and how do we go even bigger? You go as high as the bar you set. But holy shit, we've achieved things. Web3 is an incredible place. It's noisy, yes, but it's a place for dreamers, and by extension, crazy people that have a pulse on the future other's can't quite discern yet. It's punk and counter culture. We were told so often that "we can't do this" "this isn't gonna work" and "I don't get it". Because it's unfamiliar territory, and that's uncomfortable for bystanders. Being a founder is all about leaning into discomfort, welcoming the trials, and leveling up. It's much easier when you have a die-hard community that begins to see the light and believes in your mission. We've done insane things at @Claynosaurz. We will continue to do insane things at Claynos. We've challenged a status quo. And we will be a best-in-class community-driven collectibles entertainment brand for the digital age. In just a day, the ecosystem has supported us in ways I don't even know how to react to right now. Over $1.1m to get this next adventure started. Your belief in us is fuel. Thank you, over and over. There is no finish line, and I think you know that about us. You better believe we will do incredible, industry shifting things with HEEBOO. I am so turbo bullish on the possibilities that platform will create, and our trajectory. I am so bullish on the creator economy, because we live it ourselves, it's our story, in a way that's much more intimate and aligned, and that is where the future goes when legacy companies are dis-intermediated. There is no Hollywood if it does not monopolize artists, fans and creators: there are simply content & entertainment creators. And they go wherever tf they choose. And they will build fan constellations as a moat. And those fans will also be builders, ambassadors, enjoyers, collectors, buyers, sellers, ideators. Participants. And that deserves alignment. That will be the only way forward. And that is the great promise of web3. A redistribution of power. Higher.
