Sophie Cunningham was left bleeding from the mouth, and her own head coach chose to publicly defend the player responsible for the play rather than unequivocally stand behind her own player. That is an appalling failure of judgment, leadership, and responsibility. A head coach who cannot stand up for her own players when their safety is at issue has no business leading this team. The Fever organization needs to seriously reconsider whether Stephanie White should remain in this position. This is disgraceful.
