So excited to be attending the design happy hour hosted by @jayneil & team ⭐ Please say hi if you're coming too!
Replying to @saurabhsoni_ss
@saurabhsoni_ss, @abnux and I are hosting a Config Happy hour in Bangalore this Friday. Selfishly we want to get the 100 top AI native designers in India in the same room and learn from them. If that's you sign up here: luma.com/tbsaa3zq @rishfishtish will review all the applications manually as the bar is really high. Shout out to @Razorpay_Design and @SarvamAI for making this event possible and @kamini_300 for designing the visuals. See y'all there 🫶

You need to be extremely skeptical of any claim that ascribes to AI a fundamental, insurmountable lack of something intangible, like "taste" or "creativity." I draw the line at phenomenal consciousness, which I'm certain AI does not have, but I believe everything else can be abstracted enough for AI to grasp and perform at a top human level. It doesn't please me to admit it, but most discourse defending "human exceptionalism" on any grounds other than phenomenal consciousness doesn't convince me. It always sounds like cope or wishful thinking.

I wanna see more Carl Sagan energy in tech
i feel we've lost any sense of romanticism and humanity about company building in tech and it's a very dark path

when all the tech people run out of use cases for personal ai assistants and get bored of optimizing everything, we'll turn to the history, art & philosophy majors to show us what intersectional creativity, phenomenological experiences and entirely new ways of engaging with the world can actually look like with ai

Humans built absurd metaphysical concepts to argue that consciousness isn't an emergent property of matter. Partly because the pride of being fundamentally different, of having a purpose alien to everything else in the universe, is too hard to swallow. And now it's so hard to believe that something else, which is unquestionably an emergent product of matter, can exhibit a trait we assumed could only emerge from consciousness. It's less like living under a rock and more like a refusal to accept that something we considered uniquely human might not be.
bruh anyone saying that AI isnt creative is living under a rock. if you play with latest AI tools you can see its objectively creative AF. yes i know it was trained on human data, just like every single one of us was...
