One theory I would love to believe is that Feather Mountain is home to only airbenders, with no other types of benders living there. From what we’ve seen in ATLA, airbenders have always lived in temples built high above the clouds, and Feather Mountain seems to follow that same idea. I love the thought of it being a home for airbenders who are still keeping the old Air Nomad culture alive
