now a deleted post, but this is the ultimate end point of capitalism, ai will completely atomize everyone and there will be zero shared experiences. there will be no culture, only pure consumption. this must be resisted

MrBeast shows his BIGGEST charity project yet, spending over $10 MILLION to build an entire VILLAGE designed to help kids attend school instead of being forced into child labor 👀🔥
The village includes a SCHOOL, community center, library, medical center, farm, playground, sports fields and HOUSES FOR TEACHERS 🤯
We’ve known that an alghorithm was “going to eventually kill everyone” for around 200+ years now. It’s called the profit motive. An unyielding “line go up” eternal growth algorithm that has slipped out of human control for a very long time now. Skynet isn’t killer drones, it’s quarterly earning spreadsheets.

It’s really cool that if any game had unique or memorable design everyone treats it as it was not intended or simply a limitations. Developers actually never wanted to make a game they simply lucked into one. There is no deliberate design elements
like 80% of gamers are adult children who hate art and are fundamentally incurious, stupid, easily deceived marks whose only desire is escapism and whose only purpose is to be sold to. genuine livestock who cant think for themselves and resent those who can

its funny how games like final fantasy 7, ocarina of time, resident evil 2, etc. were considered to be some of the greatest games ever made yet to defend their remakes get talked about like they are broken slop games with no appeal and just utter messes with no appeal

i love the part of remake announcements where everyone just pretends the original was actually bad and ugly and had no appeal

Gamers actually love difficulty (or at least the idea of it), they just hate friction even more than you could ever imagine, which leads to most difficult games either being streamerbait rage games or very streamlined experiences that make you press buttons good and nothing else
Staring at a wall is also free and would be more fulfilling than subjecting yourself to a gacha game

It’s one of the reasons I prefer older games. I like being able to focus on what’s important even if that means I’m not seeing every individual leaf/blade of grass moving by themselves. It allows you to imagine the rest, making every player see the magic in their own way
