I cannot believe that this guy was allowed to play a football game on no sleep with blood clots in his lungs. Even more unbelievable is the fact that he led a go-ahead drive in the final seconds before the special teams blew the game.
#Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, who is out for the season after several blood clots were revealed in his lungs, has been undergoing tests for days.
Before the London game, Hurts was in the hospital until 4 am and did not sleep because sleep was a risk. He played without having slept.

One day, legal migrants will either:
1. Turn this into a mosque
2. Burn it to the ground
Why?
1. Because we were afraid to be “racist.”
2. We wouldn’t tell women “no.”

We won’t be doing this today.
Nine of the original state constitutions required a religious test demanding belief in God & Christianity. Delaware’s constitution explicitly required a profession of faith in Jesus as the Son of God. Every DoI signer belonged to a Christian church.

It was a wonderful evening celebrating Diwali with Bismarck’s Indian community!
Diwali reminds us of the power of light over darkness and the importance of choosing hope, even in challenging times. We are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate this meaningful tradition, experience such a vibrant culture, and recognize the many contributions the Indian community makes to our state.
Thank you for your warm hospitality and for allowing us to share in this special celebration. We are grateful to have you as part of our North Dakota community and honored to serve you!

And you still have the nerve to show up and lecture me."
Brilliant and direct.

France has the highest social spending of any country in the world
A nice old building burns, and so the pearl-clutching begins. Where were these pearl clutchers when austerity was wrecking a generation? Why does one town hall grab their attention but millions of schools, hospitals, and homes dilapidated by neoliberalism are of no importance?

France's level of public social spending was third highest in the world at 30.6% of GDP in 2024. Excluding the pandemic, it is slightly down from its 31.9% high in 2014. Total public spending is 57.2%, second highest among large countries not at war and near all-time highs.
