"South Park" is changing its name to "South America" for Season 29.
“Inspired by the bravery and patriotism of Apple and Google, we are changing the name of South Park to SOUTH AMERICA. We especially want to thank our parent company Paramount -- a Skydance Capitulation," creators Trey Parker & Matt Stone said in a statement, trolling Trump for changing the name of Lake Ontario to Lake America (and Google and Apple for accepting it).
Season 29 premieres Sept. 16th at 10pm ET/PT on Comedy Central. Additional new episodes will premiere Sept. 30, Oct. 14, Oct. 28, Nov. 11 and Nov. 25.

Public outrage continues over the fact that 🇷🇴 president Nicușor Dan has not fired the head of his security, Lucian Pahonțu, after a journalistic investigation showed he gave orders to shoot protestors in December 1989. New info reveals the general’s Phd thesis was plagiarised

Imagine lying in an oncology ward, heroically fighting a severe cancer against all odds, fighting for your life with every ounce of willpower you have, astonishing your doctors and friends with your progress, defying one pessimistic prognosis after another, and moving forward with hope and sheer determination to recover.
And then some delulu like this bursts into your room, someone who has seen nothing in life beyond comfortable air-conditioned political lecture halls, and starts lecturing you:
“Why are you making all these decisions according to the logic of illness? Why don’t you simply make decisions according to the logic of health? Why put yourself through all this exhausting chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery?
Can’t you just stop suffering and live in peace and harmony with your aggressive lung cancer that’s trying to metastasize to your bones? You don’t need treatment, and you don’t have an endgame because I said so and because reasons. Why don’t you want to be healthy? That’s it.
God, I’m incredibly smart. I should probably add a couple more academic credentials to my Twitter handle.”
"This is not a rhetorical device or an exaggeration: Iranian sources explicitly assume they are dealing with a person whose capacity is limited and adjust their language accordingly."

Bucharest is voting to rename one of its prettiest parks. Right now, by means that I'm sure are entirely fair, the leading option is Donald Trump with 48%. If you got 5 min to spare, do give us a hand and vote for anything else, preferably Maia Sandu! romaniavoteaza.live/#vot

The approximate number of illegal immigrants in the EU (population: 450 million) is less than 1 million. This is 14 times less than in the US (population: 342 million).
Crime rate:
Firearm homicide rates in the US: 19 times higher than in France and 77 times higher than in Germany.
Robbery & Rape: U.S. rates for rape 7 times higher and robberies 4 times higher than European averages.
The US is not in any position to come to teach us how to run our countries, how to deal with immigration and to tell us the EU is not great anymore. Clean up your own mess. You can even ask us for help or advice.

Not everybody who supported Trump and MAGA was a bad person at the start. But MAGA is a jealous god. It demands its supporters descend a path of degeneration to utter moral ruin. Police death squads today; who knows what tomorrow.

I study authoritarianism for a living, so I do not say this lightly: America isn't facing an authoritarian future. America is living an authoritarian present.

A level of delusion and sycophancy rarely seen outside isolated authoritarian regimes like North Korea and the Trump admin.
Despite saying for a long time Tesla's delivery figures are quite insignificant, I will say this. The fact that Tesla's sales are now negative for two years in a row tells us A LOT about the mainstream consumer. They're either terrible at product research or have been fed so much anti-EV and anti-Elon propaganda they've lost the ability to think rationally. And sure, Tesla could advertise more, I've said as much. But all of the facts are freely available. Tesla makes THE safest cars on the road which you would think would be a priority for most. The total cost of ownership numbers are far superior to "comparable" gas cars. The convenience of the app. Reliable charging. Software updates. A blast to drive. FSD. The list goes on. Yet for some reason, millions of people globally are paying $40k+ for vehicles that are not a Tesla. Which in my opinion is a prime example of the negative impact of infowars and the media largely getting away with spewing nonsense to push a narrative. The data is telling me most people still lack the skills and/or desire to cut through the noise $TSLA

It's really funny that some people got into their head in the late '10s that Amazon was a disliked company (remember the upset at the positive depiction in Nomadland) when it's actually got landslide popularity that almost any public institution would dream of.

🇺🇸🇪🇺 Americans often ask me why so many Europeans seem to “hate America.” And every time, I give the same answer. We don’t. Not even close. Europeans actually love the real America, the one built on curiosity, creativity, humour, openness, and that effortless friendliness you meet the moment you land in Boston or San Diego. That America has a permanent fan club on this side of the Atlantic.
What Europeans push back against is something entirely different. MAGA is not America. MAGA is a political product engineered by billionaires who tell ordinary people they can become just like them, if only they get angry at the right enemies. It is a movement built on fear instead of confidence, outrage instead of optimism, and nostalgia instead of progress. Europeans react to it not because they dislike Americans, but because they recognise the pattern. We have seen versions of this before. It never ends well.
And here’s the thing. Most MAGA supporters aren’t bad people. Many are simply caught in a machine designed to keep them frustrated, suspicious, and loyal. They are told the world is against them, that experts lie, that allies cheat, that democracy is rigged unless their guy wins. When Europeans criticise MAGA, it is not an attack on those people. It is frustration at the billionaires and political operatives who deliberately mislead them.
So no, Europe does not hate America. We admire the America that still leads in science, technology, film, music, human rights, and cultural energy. But we will always call out the forces that try to shrink that America into something smaller, angrier, and less free. Because in the end, we want the best version of America to win. And honestly, so do most Americans.
