Yes, according to Pew Research Center’s June 2025 analysis of 2010-2020 data, Islam was the world’s fastest-growing major religion.
Muslims grew by 347 million to 2.0 billion (share rose from 23.9% to 25.6%). Christians grew by 122 million to 2.3 billion but their share fell from 30.6% to 28.8%. Unaffiliated rose to 1.9 billion (24.2%).
Growth mainly from higher fertility (Muslim women avg. 2.9 children vs. 2.2) and younger median age (24 vs. 33), not conversions.
